I got a can of duckpin as an extra in a trade a while ago. It was the surprise of the box. I bet this is great.

If you've had anything from MBC, you know it's a given that the beer is well-crafted...

That NFC game nearly made me sick... :flushed:
Sloppy play from Seattle; too close...

Glad to be moving on to the Patriots game...

In light of the outcome in game one, this beer is almost cryptic. Cheers to the Hawks!

I like this beer and feel it continues the strong tradition of growth at Neshaminy Creek, but it is not juicy by my definition. Not tropical. No stonefruit. More Grassy Ale with Nugget. GAWN. But that wouldn't fit with jawn being a new philly word. Perhaps call it GWAR?

ok I had to do a side by side on the very right is Double Duckpin
    [IMG]

This category 5 doesn't taste right period I think the beer got too hot while I was in Florida I'm sorry @Shroud0fdoom and @TongoRad more so Tongo Shroud has had the perfect product

Edit: I remember what 5 tastes like at it's peek and Double Duckpin is more complex a better beer

Hey, no problem, things happen- but I'll remember that if I ever have it again. From the looks of it I figured it would be hoppier than it was that night. My post said-
"starts with a nose of papaya and new mown grass, gets a lot more citrusy on the palate, and adds a touch of pineapple"

and the aroma and flavor didn't seem to jive with each other. It was still pretty nice, even if it wasn't at its best.

That was a killer box in any event- no need to apologize .

Hate both teams in that crazy game, but gotta give Seattle credit for that comeback win. Now on to 18th Street Hunter Cherry Imperial Milk Stout for the next game. Tastes like a chocolate cherry truffle with ground up expresso beans on top. The cherry is there, but not overpowering the chocolatey goodness from the base beer. Everything is very balanced and complex. This is a well-executed beer, but not as good as their vanilla version and just a hair under their coffee version. 18th Street continues to impress and solidify themselves as one of the best breweries in the Chicago area and even the country!

6.4% ABV is too low? (And I felt guilty for avoiding beers with low ratings! :grimacing:)

Sunday night is strictly Ginger Beer. I went out last night and had a Sweetwater Blue which wasn't too bad. Not overpowering and smooth on draught. Sorry my English coming out, on draft. Thid is Crabbie's. Wonder if there is a beer named after Gilligan and the Skipper? British stores carry this one. 4.8 abv. Try it instead of cider.

Good evening BAs! Having this one right now. Was looking for something in the cellar and noticed the best before date of July 2015 on this so figured to have a go. Drinking very well. I can recommend socking one or two of these away, especially considering their great value. I'm still in awe of the NFC championship game. Incredible stuff. Cheers all!
