    Starting early and starting stout...

    While our predicted "blizzard" downgraded to intermittent snow with "wind advisories" :rolling_eyes:, it's still pretty frigid out there...

    Watched a real chiller last night with the missus - Anabelle - something of a prequel to The Conjuring - solid horror flick with some genuine scares. Recommended for fans of the style. Speaking of style, this stout's doing right by this early riser. Loads of chocolate and coffee with hints of marshmallow and anise. Glad I've got a couple more on-hand, as well as something new for NBS later on... :sunglasses:

    A few more inches of snow blew off the lake last night. Time for breakfast and a shovel. I prefer this beer fresh, but always stash a few until I secure tickets for the coming release. Still tasty, just slides more toward a chocolate flavor which isn't a bad thing.

    No snow here but "cold as hell" 12 degrees (that statement always makes me laugh). We are under a winter storm warning for this evening with up to a foot of the white stuff...Monday may be an early drinking day!

    Love a good scare an Annabelle was pretty good.

    Still on my coffee but thinking of digging something up out of the fruit cellar ...cheers!

    At 4 below, a stout seemed appropriate. It just wouldnt look as pretty in the sunshine coming through the windows though.
