Maybe in the Spring, when the temps aren't so brutal.
Just looks like the head is kinda purpleish.

Lost Abbey Red Poppy Ale
moving onto this one... my first beer from mammoth brewing. its really, really good...
Blue Point Sour Imperial Stout as I watch my kids try to have fun with this less than 1" of snow we received last night...
Enjoying a Red Giant ale from Element Brewing...
Divisional game queued in the background. Great games (IMO) yesterday.
Better image of the beer color here:
I wanna get the word out on the brewery, Element Brewing Company, too. Follow the link and hit the menu tab to bring up their beer and distribution info. I'm not, like, affiliated or anything, BTW, I'm just sayin' that as a general advocacy-thing. On the (BA) site, their three "core" beers (Dark Element (previously Dark Matter), Extra Special Oak (ESO), and Red Giant) don't have a lotta reviews, but they're really good beers.
Heh. I bought the "trifecta" this past weekend:
Last night was Dark Element. Later today will be their ESO...
But for now, back to the Red Giant.
And the game...
Gimme some sugar....Brown Shugga, baby. Enjoyable...hoppy without the big citrus bitter notes, more tropical, sweetness but stil not heavy. Yum....
Going for an IPA throwdown
Just got back from the weekly Blues Brunch at Empire Brewing Company in Syracuse, where a new beer of theirs called Local Grind (a 7-something% ABV brown ale brewed with locally roasted coffee) went pretty damn well with some Belgian waffles there. It was really a very solid brown ale, with lots of good, fresh coffee character.
My money's on Heady in a landslide. What's the one between Pliny and Heady?
Myrcenary is a helluva beer. I've had 3/5 and of those 3, I'd choose Myrcenary!
Odell Myrcenary DIPA
Started on this growler, watching Seahaks-Falcons. One-sided so far
Looking forward to the Pats game.
first ever black note.. im in love.
My first beer of the day is a mid-afternoon breakfast...
This is one bad ass motherfucker. Something's just not quite right with it though - too sweet. But very good. Really liking my new CCB glass too. Cheers everybody!
Attaway MattyIce. Terrible game to watch so I'm switching to Madden '13 until Pats/Texans.
Nice to see stores arent limiting numbers of Blacknote! Four 4-packs! How much of it hit distribution? I heard they brewed a ton of it.
Cascade's Vlad the Imp Aler (one of my favorite brews, it's pretty damn amazing)
No pics today, but Im starting with a Rogue - Yellow Snow IPA
Who said he didn't pick it up AT BELLS ?
I wouldn't think he picked up that much outside of Michigan, but what do I know.
Starting the day off with this one. My first Flanders Red. Not really what I was expecting. I certainly prefer Lambics and Gueuze's.
Someone recently told me that the brewery only sold Black Note in large bottle formats during its release. I guess I was just assuming that was true information and thus he got this off a shelf in a bottle shop. I obviously dont know though.
DUDE! All that Black Note is jaw dropping! Do you have any money left?
Doing a little cellar cleaning; getting rid of some JV beers to make more room for more varsity beers.
On deck hoping for a Texans miracle against those schlongs from Boston
this is nothing.. one guy this morning got about 4 cases of it. imagine a line of 10-15 people with nothing but cases and 4-packs of this.. it was beautiful!
I also heard the 4 packs were only going to be $25. Again, this is all here say. I hope this makes it to SC, although I doubt it will.
First try.... this is one tasty hoppy brew.
2 Mamosas and 6 Southern Tier Old Man into "DRUNKEN LAUNDRY-PALOOZA 2013!"
Drinking this for the first time. Amazing beer.
I need to find a trading partner so I can get more of these.
It's gonna take a miracle too!!
I'll be drinking some Heady Topper for kick off and we'll see where it goes from there.
Go New England!!
I want to order some Cascade online but with the average temp in Oregon being around 17 deg. i might have to wait till spring..
Drinking my last Breakfast Stout, it's cold and icy outside, it sucks.
ISO: A 4-pk of Black Note for my wife's birthday in 8 days (she said either she wants this or nothing, smart woman).
Finishing up this bad boy right now and i enjoyed the hell out of it! It did confuse me a little bit though lol Review here
Really wanna see how this ages. I thought it was delicious but kind of a mess lol
Cheers ladies and gentlemen!
Not a bad beer on a Sunday afternoon.
Pyramid Thunderhead IPA. It's a nice APA - except it's 67 IBUs and 6.7%?! Sure doesn't taste it...
