Well do people honestly expect to have an orgasmic experience with each and every release? This is a well-crafted, damn tasty barleywine IMO, as billed.

Boulder Beer Flashback
Making it an early night, what with tomorrow being the first day of classes (just teaching for me, not taking anything). Think I'll relax with a can of Heady.
Screw it. Rareness time...
My goodness this is turning out great!!
I've had a very eventful beer day. I interviewed the owner/brewer of a new brewery located across the street from Lagunitas, named Petaluma Hills. Really nice guy, and he makes a great porter. Can't wait til they open their doors.
After that headed to Russian River with the family (first time my wife has been out of the house since Wednesday, as she's been very sick). Had a Happy Hops, Row 2 and a Perdition.
Now drinking an Alaskan Imperial Red.
Cheers and happy Sunday.
Deschutes Obsidian>Lagunitas Sucks>Leinies. Poor planning by me and Minnesota blue laws.
I hope you like it dude! Cheers
Cracked open one of my home brews. It's a dark strong ale. Has a nice thick fluffy head and great lacing but I think it needs a couple more weeks of conditioning.
Drinking my last breakfast stout until its next release.
Tonight at World of Beer Dowtown St. Pete between the wife and I:
Southern Tier 2x stout (wife ordered, pretty good)
Green Flash Rayon Vert
Chapeau Banana (wife ordered, blech in my book)
Flying Dog Raging Bitch
Jai Alai can
Now what to drink at home?
Greetings! I've been whittling away at a case of Westvleteren 12 from 2010. Acquired from Europe with no small effort by the way.
I only found out today it was sold in the USA 3 weeks ago for the first time ever 5 minutes from my house.
The smell of roasted malt sounds good to me!
1. Pliny. 2. Myrcenary 3. Heady 4. Flower Power / Hop Notch 6. Hopslam 7. 90 Minute 8. Drakes
Pliny's aroma and taste can't be beat.
All I remember about this beer is that it was hands down the worst beer I had last year. I love Deschutes, but this was a real let down last time I had it. Is this years any better?
lots of coffee in this beast.
first red chair of the season/year. finally
Still sick, out of BB (anxiously waiting an in transit trade). Forced to drink my last of 5 bottles of two cases. Amazing beer.
Moving on to this one, courtesy of rpbuckeye...
Not a fresh heady then. I thought Pliny was off the charts and then drank the HT both fresh. Of course, this is my opinion. Must have been a great nite either way!!
Choked down the last of a Snowdrift Vanilla Porter that my fiancee bought, and then hated. IPA tasting later.
Some more Lazy Magnolia is what the situation calls for. It's Deep South Pale Ale now.
Enjoying this right now. Cheers.
GL Eliot Ness earlier.. Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar right now.. probably some Zombie Dust later.. cheers..
Just finished a Sweetwater IPA, now that's a good IPA.
Dude, unless your stove clock has undergone a couple of time changes this afternoon, you're on your 8th beer in just over 6 hours. Looking at the beers you've had, you are in no shape to judge aroma! Okay - I'm just jealous. Cheers!
