Jack's Abby Kiwi Rising IIPL Imperial India Pale Lager
I'm having Evil Twin Yin. It was $6.99, but I got it on sale for $2.99.
Starting the day off with...
om nom nom
Out for Thai food, limited selection. I do what I must
Pretty Things back to 1832 again!
No Delorean this time though
Working on this with dinner. Thanks to Dachshunddude86 for this one.
Hill Farmstead ANNA
Wish I didnt like it, but dam this stuff is so good. Going to have to make that trip to stock up.
found a 6-month old sixer of this in the back of the cooler at work, figured I'd give it a try. don't believe i've ever had it before so nothing to compare to, but it's not bad. any hop aroma appears to be gone but there's still a decent amount of bitterness there. could definitely put back several of these in a hurry.
Weird day, may be forced to move by the end of month. Rather unexpectedly. Tired, cold, hungry. Looking forward to roasted potatoes & brussels sprouts with a bottle of Sculpin later for dinner. Or, possibly Founders Imperial Stout.
Southern Tier Phin & Matt's
Good lord man. Have some meat!
Drove all around looking for some Hopslam to no avail. Was a little bummed but I know I'll have Nugget Nectar soon so that eases my pain.
Oh, so does drinking beer :
Start with a new tick, shall we?
After only having 113 IPA on tap and finding it very lackluster, I've been reluctant to pick up SlyFox. However, I went into 2013 promising myself to try more Pennsylvania beers. This, I like. I find pilsners to be under appreciated on this site. Since I tend to gravitate towards higher rated beers, I try pilsners less. But I love em. Maybe it's time to take BA ratings less serious.
I've had this several times now, but this is by far the freshest I've had it. I've had it on tap at FatHeads and had a few four packs and they were always great, but this is a surprise!
Love the glass
At the Jolly Pumpkin Pub in AA eating dinner and drinking their new tart saison called Citrouille Bizarre. Very tasty and refreshing. Cheers.
It's rumored that Chang is brewed with formaldehyde...
Tick tick tick...
Ember (aka Embeer) refused to move, as she like to sniff my beers.
Anyway, ashamed to admit that this is my first Lagunitas beer. Wanted to try Sucks but none was to be found. I like pretty much anything with brown sugar though, and this is no exception. It's sickly sweetness will keep me from drinking these too fast though. I need more magnets for my bottle cap collection.
Captain Lawrence Rosso E Marrone. Another incredible sour by CL:
Recycled pic -
I love Ed Fitz. Really do. It has been my favorite porter for years. But now it's second due to this little (big?) guy:
Incredible body, pleasantly bitter with loads of chocolate and coffee. Would buy this regularly if not for the hefty price tag.
Drinking a Deschutes Hop Henge this is 10.6% ABV this year, it get stronger each year, nice hops this year
KBS 2011. It's drinking really nice. The bourbon has blended really well with hints of coffee and chocolate poking through.
I'll take that over Hopsickle any day of the week!
Picked up a growler of Two Hearted today for $9.99.. working on that all night.. cheers!
Tick, tick, tick..
This one was a shot in the dark. It looked like it was sitting on the shelf forever, but at $4 for the bomber, I loved the label design, because I'm a dirty, commie, flower picking hippie. No bottle date. The Rust Belt site is garbage, but if their release schedule is accurate, this is a 6 month old Imperial IPA.
This sucks. A malty mess. Maybe at some point it was a tasty IPA, but I doubt it. I'm smoking a menthol cigarette right now to get through it, because drain pouring just isn't my style. Never had anything by Rust Belt before, so I can't make any assumptions in either direction. I'm starting to get drunk and this still blows. Even my cat from the previous post doesn't care to sit around and sniff this.
Summit Great Northern Porter
Come to the dark side!
I'll start the evening with this.
My plan for tonight:
The only problem is waiting so long to drink the Jai Alai! It'll be difficult but I'm up to the challenge.
Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan in a Southern Pecan glass.
This is becoming scarce around these parts. Just picked up another case today. A little over 2.5 months old. Still drinking fine. Can't beat it for the price.
Love the music! I'm a big Incubus fan.
Awesome beer as are all of MBC's offerings. Too expensive for regular rotation though for me. I wish they would 4 pack like Jack's Abby does at a reasonable price.
Thought I would treat myself tonight.
Me too! I've seen them in concert the last few summers, great shows both times, hoping to do it again this year.
Breaking in my new glassware with Boulevard The Sixth Glass. First time having this one. Very nice so far...
