Time for some sour goodness!
One word sums this up - *Finally*!!
Drinking as beautifully as ever!
I highly recommend this wonderous brew. Nice surprise Lagunitas. Cheers fellow advocates.
We will never see MBC Lunch down in NJ because of this racket of a system we have here hehe
Your SUCH a FRIEK! hahaha
Well...FWIW...I do notice the similarity between the groovy label and your avatar. Too bad the beer does not rate a smiley face .
Cut and paste of a nice old label of a brew I'm having now. Fresh, of course!
I saw this thread this AM and was insanely jealous.
I am taking a break from my normal drinking schedule (Fri.-Sun.) to celebrate the submission of all five of my PhD applications. They were all submitted this afternoon! Wish me luck.
I am celebrating with a bottle of Plead the 5th I got in locals for locals trade a while back (I think that was Zaphog, but I honestly can't remember, SORRY!).
This beer is something special. I am not a big stout guy typically, but this is scratching me right where I itch tonight. I am curious as how it changes as it warms.
Finishing up a Goudenband.
I heard a couple dead whales washed up ashore round here...
I went to look but all I found was this...
ohh, they must have said ales not whales! So i said why not? And selected the Apricot!
Cheers my BA brethren!
Started by spliting a Black Note with hubby, he didn't love it, I did.
On to a This One Goes to 11. I do so love the beer in Michigan
Good luck and congrats!
Isn't that one a Double IPA?
In a stunning reversal of standard practice, I think I like this year's iteration of Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye more (!!!) than last year's. I'm through the looking glass!
Mine looks like this, but in a different glass in a different room and right now:
And it sounds like this (or maybe that's just my imagination):
A sour friek...yeah. That's why I dig De Cam so much.
Some Breckenridge Well Built E.S.B. As I listen to some Aluk Tudolo:
SA-FUCKING-LUTE, MAN! BUONA FORTUNA!
How is it?
+1 for the song. I use to listen to that song every morning when I got out of bed.
So far, I enjoy it. That said,it certainly isn't anything to get worked up over and certainly not something that's worth the $17 I paid for the bottle.
Ha ha ha, whoops. I fixed it. It's a plead the 5th! I don't know why I messed that up.
torpedo, torpedo and more torpedo. catching up on breaking bad
Heck, I can get a 4 pack of Small Batch DIPA for less than that and that's one of the few brews of theirs that I dig.
/not meant to shit on your reply.
2011. Drinking amazing right now. No new review up today. Just in a crappy mood. You fellas make the day a wee bit better though!
Cheers ladies and gentlemen!
Drinking a home brewed Irish stout right now. Going to go for a Flower Power next.
Well that's a great one too - cheers!
And now on to...
Grabbed a sixer of Syracuse's best IPA to offer its locals. Getting excited for my delivery of a case of deliciousness from Minnesota that should arrive anyday now. Cheers!
First time having this one, received as an extra from an awesome trader.
Definitely one of the better Porters I've had to date.
New Glarus Two Women at the moment with a quesadilla:
Enjoying this right now. Bit of an aggressive pour but I'll live.
Drinking some fresh Lagunitas SUCKS! Tastes even better than it sounds!!
Tick, tick, tick.
I have one more new bottle, but at this point I probably shouldn't pop a bomber of Victory V-12. So for now, an IPA that I've seen a zillion times, but never fresh.
FINALLY, fresh Ballast Point Sculpin :
Thoughts : A decent IPA. Can't believe I payed $20 for a sixer of this though. Keirbmeist, if you see this, it's not worth the hype, bro. Absolutely nothing special here. Could have bought two more Head Hunter four-packs, or old Flower Power, Troegs Perpetual, or....a lot of IPAs. I'm gonna get shit for this I know. The best by date is early May though. It's good, but not for the price.
Lesson learned, I suppose.
Friek goes really well whilst watching Dario Argento's Susperia on the tube, I reckon.
Nursing an Ommegang Abbey Ale Dubbel. Stunned. Can't believe I have passed this over so many times.
Another "horse" band heheh
It's barleywine night.
Sorry, but Sculpin is fucking great. 20 bucks is overpriced, because in crazy-price NY it is 14.99
I concur, might fine sir!
I was a bit disappointed in this one myself but I thought it was because it had a best by date a month BEFORE I drank it. It had a sea water-like aftertaste and was not exceptional in any way.
I will find it fresh one day and try it again.
