    From last night: Brewer's Art Beazly. Delicious "devil" beer (I had no idea Belgian golden ales followed the same naming convention as doppelbocks until last night) though I think I like Pranqster a little better. I still need to try Duvel though.

    Good morning BAs! It's another sunny day here in NW PA - maybe I'll try to chip some of the leaves off the yard today. Today's breakfast brew is Freigeist Abraxxxas, a Lichtenhainer interpretation. The first of these I ever had was at FreeTail Brewing in San Antonio - so good I picked up a growler. I'm really starting to like the mild sour style interpretations - may have to switch from brewing alts, rauches, and stouts to berlinerweisse variants.

    This is light on smoke - I can just pick it out - but is well balanced with sour. The 6% ABV makes it just a little alcohol-heavy to be sessionable but it's still pretty darned good.

    Finally had a Ranger from New Belgium. I'm not an IPA guy, but I'm expanding my horizons by trying some of the more interesting ones. Really like Ranger: a fantastic hops bouquet along with a very nice malt backbone. I'll get this one again (especially since it's a Michigan beer).
