Hadn't had a black ipa in awhile. Glad I decided to try this one.
North Coast Old Stock Cellar Reserve - Old Ale
Starting the night with some farmhouse goodness
Moving right along...it's the night before grocery shopping, so it's make dinner with whatever is in the fridge. Tonight it's a quesadilla with brie and apricot-jalapeno jelly washed down with a left hand wake up dead which is what I have a feeling will prove at this rate to make for a prophetic morning.
PS-while it was tasty, brie is a super oily mess of a cheese to melt in a quesadilla. But the stout more than made up for it!
Terrapin, please just start bottling these two pre-mixed in 12oz 4 packs
saugatuck neapolitan milk stout. at first i was scared to take the bait but im glad i ended up biting. good stuff.
I actually went ahead and had a third...so amazing
Damn fine beer, maybe DFH's best. It has very, very nicely mellowed since 2/22/11.
Yes it is the BA version. I've only seen it at one local store but not sure how limited it is. Very tasty though!
Congratulation to you and your little girl!
SN Torpedo. My 4 day weekend has officially begun!
It is very......unique. I can definitely go through the gamut of the flavors on each sip.
Damn I love this stout! Barrel aged Colorado goodness!
Let the fridge purging continue...
I finally got an iPod with a camera. This is the first beer I drank where I can actually take a picture of it!
Hopslam. Mmmmmmmmm. (sorry for no pic)
Gorgeous looking brew. Delicious at that. Cheers!
White Oak Jai Alai tonight.
Crooked Stave L'Brett D'or... it's llike my 3rd in the past week. I can't get enough!
on my second bottle of this beer...
I love BA. Hopslam was tasty as usual. First time with the head hunter and it was the one of the most bitter beers I've ever had. Officially addicted to trading.
I'm enjoying my second White Rascal by Avery Brewing Co tonight. This beer is kind of my guilty pleasure. I wouldn't say it's anything especially outstanding in terms of its style (Belgian white), but it's just always good and available. It's like my beer candy. When I visited Avery in Ft. Collins, I knew they had several on tap that were more than worthy of getting a pint of, but I secretly just wanted to order pint after pint of White Rascal.
Is that an Illuminator? I haven't had Dock Street since college circa late 90s...
2006 Meph, a friend brought this over.... Shit spits hot fire! and by hot fire I mean crazy flavors that I never expected from a stout!
I'm officially on vacation. Hell yes.
Post number 1000. Cheers BA!
Man Full of Trouble Porter. First beer I've had from them. Pretty good stuff.
WNY is getting a nice influx of new distro
Captain Lawrence, Eclipse, Ballast Point...life is good.
Started off with this
And now this:
Love the CW BBS but not more than BCBS Also definitely loving Lolita more with a year on it (11/12/11 bottled date)
Captain Lawrence you say....
Cheers to you and the little one Hanzo!
Growler of RPM by Boneyard...
It called to me from the fridge...
Glad you cracked one open. I think CW did a marvelous job with this years release. I've got a couple of last year's release reserved as the start of my vertical building. I think when the time is right, this year's '12 will blow '11 away.
One of my favorite bourbon beers. I always get a coconut flavor in it that most others don't seem to have. I have four left in the cellar but would buy more if I see them on the shelf. Enjoy!
First time trying this one
Damn! It's got all the hops and none of the bitterness.
Different but awesome!
The light that spills out of the whole in your head (long name, but a tasty citrus pale ale)
