It is opening night of hockey and I have been drinking beers only from hockey regions. I have had a Unibroue Blanche de Chambly and La Fin du Monde from Quebec Canada. A Samuel Adams Imperial White from the home of the Bruins. An Allagash White from the great state of Maine. And finally a Founders Breakfast Stout from Michigan. Welcome back hockey, my old friend.

    Now onto this, thanks TX-Badger:
I did have the anger which has turned to joy with my Caps being down 2-3 now tied up at 3s. So this was fitting:

Stopped by Victory today and had samples of Donnybrook Stout, Yakima Glory, Headwaters, Ranch Double IPA and Hop Wallop. Followed by a regular glass of Ranch Double IPA.

Now home watching some hockey and enjoying this...Cheers!

Decided to try some homebrew with dinner. This was a Scotch Ale we bottled Memorial Day. It's aged very well. Nice smooth flavors with just a bit of smoke. Tomorrow we tackle some 1/2 batches of a Saison and a Stout.

Currently drinking Christian Moerlein Emancipator Doppelbock. Again, living close to Cincy has great benefits.

But I'll be daggone if it's January and spring seasonals are out already. Can we at least wait until after Valentine's Day?!

Quoting my own post to say this was hugely disappointing. Im a big DFH guy, but this one is a swing and a miss. It legitimately tastes like Four Loko.

Gotta agree here. I loved this when I had it. Hoping it makes a return and is not a one and done. One of my favorite new beers of 2012.

Winding down from a hectic day with this. Took forever to show up in my area for some reason. Nothing mind blowing here just an inexpensive, easy drinking stout with a nice aroma and not overpowering in the chocolate taste. Solid beer.

    Cheers all!

Picked up the past three Anniversary Ales from Avery on Friday (and an Uncle Jacob stout)
Tonight, the Seventeen - not really a beer for aging, I suppose, but it tastes damn good to me.
