    Definitely a classic. And that sucks in Ohio. It would at least be consistent if you could not buy hard liquor.:rolling_eyes:

    Tan shoes with pink shoelaces . . . man oh man . . . (that's me singin' =)

    TGIF! Got the tastebuds back as this morning I actually smelled coffee =) OH I am very happy. So happy I decided to have pub food friday. Steaj sandwich and after that ice cream and popcorn and nuts and I want everything I see. Oh boy.

    As far as the pils, this batch seems to have a bit of diacetyl in it. So much so that it undermines the dryness and crispness of the malt. The belma hops seem to be very sweet on this nose more so than usual and the malt is very soft. Like it has no form. It has no depth and is lost in the finish behind a slickness that while not profoundly buttery it does detract.

    Just left Open Bottle in Tinley Park. Free Dark Lord vertical tasting for years '11-'14 and free mini-snifter with proof of DLD tickets.

    Honestly not sure which one I liked most. Hard to tell with only 1 oz samples. That and I think I mixed the order up by transferring them from one table to the next. Oops. At any rate I could definitely tell one (presumably '11) was smoother than the rest. All were incredibly sweet, just the way I like 'em. Heading to 3F brewpub in hopes they still have ZD and bottles of '14 DL for sale. Don't miss driving in this Illinois/Indiana traffic one bit. Cheers everyone!

    Hey SFJ - I agree to a degree. Last year I thought it was flawless day one, best drank fresh while this year it is just superb which is a discernible notch below flawless ! <- not trying to be snarky
