Nice surprise from one of my bandmates tonight, couple of shops near us got truckloads of this stuff within the past couple days so were stocking up.
Driving in the slow lane tonight, for my 100th post, here's a good otter creek offering
Gopher snake, very common in southern California
Yea they are my favorite Prog Melodic Death Metal band of all time. Check out their latest 2012 LP "Of Breath and Bone" because it's the best one. They are releasing a new LP this year and I am having a hard time waiting for it.
Picked up a single today randomly. Still tasting excellent. Getting a bit more toffee/toasty malt flavors now that it's 6+ months, but still plenty of great prominent coffee flavors all around. These are still lingering on the shelf around here, tempted to buy more. Still completely delicious.
Such an incredible batch this year. Super tropical mango, papaya, pineapple, and citrus/piney hops and some light caramel malt presence. Nice resinous bitter finish. Very smooth, crisp, and sticky finish for the ABV. A very unique DIPA with pretty much west coast style dryness.
My go-to BA Stout now basically. Still lingering on the shelf around here, and I bought plenty for now. Will probably grab more. Balanced dark/roasted malts and bourbon barrel complexity with some light-moderate dark fruit/molasses flavors. Very smooth with good robust flavors and a moderately creamy mouthfeel. A nice reasonable ABV as well. Reasonably priced BA beer that can sit on a shelf is a thing I like.
Urban Chestnut STLIPA. Big sports night here, Little League game, my boy pitched to one batter & struck him out ( we lost ), NFL draft & NBA playoffs...
First time with an Almanac sour. Not too bad.
I was very happy to find this still floating around and had to grab it. I thought that this was all gone by now as I haven't seen any in a few weeks. This beer is seriously amazing and I hope that that make it again or another version with a different coffee bean/barrel.
Glad to be done with work for the week. Poured a DDBA'14. Gonna clear out the DVR.
Teach me to post pics, imgur sucks a$$
Sixpoint Bengals in my new drunken purchase glassware
I use photobucket.
Very easy. Just copy the link and paste it in your post
Yes it is
From a great band.
A few early steps into the world of barleywines. Not bad, a bit sweeter than I expected.

Tough loss for my men's hockey league team in the playoffs. Tough loss for my Rangers!
Enjoying a Other Half Nelson!
FW seems to be making a big push here in NJ
Founders: All Day IPA
A revisit to this as I had not had the can before. I had not had this since I first got into craft as a hobby a little over a year ago. (newbie I know) I was not overly impressed with it, but I think I was a instant hop head because I instantly had the pallet to enjoy dipas. Now I am more impressed with what it is able to do within the confines of a under 5% abv. However it is still not a goto for me even in the so called session ipa category.
The Calling by Boulevard. Nice!
Highly acclaimed and rightfully so, this beer is tasting great tonight.
Sorry for the loss. Have another beer and it will be a little more okay.
Welcome aboard and Cheers
Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale
I had suprisingly never given this Farmhouse Ale a try before, despite living just 4 hours outside of KC. Boy was that a mistake, Tank 7 is without a doubt the very best Farmhouse Ale that I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. Well balanced spicing, along with the incredible masking of alcohol make this a beer that many should look to for an example of how to properly do a Farmhouse Ale.
Up next for me, never had it. can't wait to try it!
#2, after a middling #1, this is most excellent. The creaminess imparted by the oats cranks this APA up about 3 notches. Have a wonderful night, BA's.

Tank 7 is awesome
I am so glad Boulevard starred distributing to NJ
Broke 2 glasses tonight while washing dishes; the 33 oz brandy snifter and the Dogfish Head IPA glass. May they rest in pieces. Finishing the bacon and the ground beef pizza and still have 5 cans of Abrasive left after this one.
Something to wash my last beer down with...
It's a fantastic IPA with great tropical and hop characteristics, but not overpowering in any way. Be aware though, the 8.5% ABV can really sneak up on you if you plan on picking up a 4 pack.
The pizza pics are killing me. Looks so damn good!
Next time I'll get a deep dish to showcase! What toppings do you usually get on pizza?
It's a great thing to see such a fantastic and long running brewery (brewing since '89) finally get the distribution that they deserve.
Ninkasi Tricerahops DIPA. This was after a good side-by-side comparison of Madtree's Galaxy High and the (4/27 canned) Citra High. Good night of DIPAs for sure.
The nightcap, Founders Brewing Co. - Porter.
After some big beers, the palate is thoroughly cleansed to enjoy this one.
Sierra Nevada Summerfest.

First time drinking this beer and not sure what I am tasting? Something is very dominant. Seems like some sorta rind I can't not pick up. To anyone who has had this beer before please inform me. I did just finish Smells Like A Safety Meeting, but I drank some water.
'10 Classic Gueuze. So dirty.
I invested in some plain water crackers and plain knackebrod (crispbread), eat a couple with some water and wait a minute or two and that usually cleans your palate enough to enjoy the next round. At least that is what I do.
I used to do taste tests once in a while for Wrigley and between sticks of gum they gave us a couple crackers and a small cup of water. I totally just had a flashback.
