    After getting pummeled with the cold and rain for the past few weeks, we finally got our first hot spell of the Spring last Friday and it seems to be continuing into this week! Due to the beautiful weather, I picked up a tall boy of Pump House Blueberry Ale (Moncton, New Brunswick)! I'm generally not a fan of fruity beers but I really do enjoy this one. Despite the blueberry flavour (which tastes like fresh blueberries, not blueberry flavouring), other aspects of the brew are able to come through. For example, the delicous spiciness of the hops used comes through quite well. The body is also quite supple while still staying refreshing.

    Definitely picking up on the gin - that juniper berry, herbal, almost medicinal character - not a bad fit for the IPA - some wood notes add a dryness; the hops mix in a little citrus, a little dankness... creating an earthy, unusual taste...

    Time to get the flavor of that last beer out of my mouth. I see everyone is posting Star Wars themed beers, and while I do not have anything that really fits the bill exactly, this was the closest thing I had in my fridge. (I know, 'Galaxy' Hop Series beer is a stretch, but just play along. lol)

    Anyways, while this one is better than that Crapberry Ginger shandy, this one is still really funky. I usually love Galaxy hops, but this one is completely different than any of the other Galaxy-centric beers I have ever had. Hmmm, at least this one is drinkable. May the 4th be with you all!

    Well, it's official!!! Our house is sold, all that's left is the assessment and then closing on July 15th. oh and of course we gotta get the Hell outta the house.
    I guess sometimes you just gotta make some concessions in a relationship and I'll be....

    Looking forward to a change, but also scared too.
    Although my boss maybe working with me and I might be keepin my job and working remotely....for a little while at least!:grinning::sunglasses: Not sure if she's gonna be able to get that through the "top men" in charge, but it would be helpful.
    I may not be moving with the wife and kids right away either...
    Well, enough of that rambling....BEER ME! Hitting up some of the small cellar stash that I have with this one:

    Haha, thanks. These are sometimes not so fun (usually the stragglers are stragglers for a reason), but if I want to buy more beer I have to clean out the old junk once and a while. Otherwise the Mrs. gets mad that the fridge is already full. If it is empty, I can justify buying more! Haha!

    Absolutely my favorite IPA. Love that stuff! Too bad I already drank all of mine I had stashed. The next season of it can't come fast enough!
