You can put me in the camp that agrees this version 2.0 is a big improvement and quite satisfying. I get more pine and malt as opposed to the tropical juiciness of Enjoy By. Different beer, different flavor, and I'm fine with that. Reminding myself it's an 8.5 abv. beer as it's going down rather easily on a humid day after helping a neighbor grade some land.

    Cheers to the weekend!

Early Friday escape from the office is always good. So is this updated classic from Stone. Cheers BAs...

Just finished off my second bottle of Kona's Longboard Island Lager (...and also a big plate of mac & cheese with tomatoes and green chiles mixed in.)

I'm not sure how I missed that little hint of hoppy grassiness in this one when I had my first one yesterday (maybe my taste buds were expecting another Nooner, with its much stronger hoppy grassiness, and didn't quite register the lighter version?), but it's definitely there now, along with the grainy/sweet flavors I picked up before. Whatever the explanation, this one's grown on me a bit between bottle #1 and bottle #2 -- this is definitely a step up from the other "regular" pale lagers that I've tried so far.

A really tasty classic. Definitely a different balance of malt and hops compared with the El Conquistador, but still nicely hoppy and very much tasty (APAs are probably my second favorite style of beer after pilsners).

Pantalones! You must then try their IPA. I think Castaway IPA is extremely pleasant. =)

SN Harvest Idaho 7 hop (4.03). If you haven't tried it, do so. That is one interesting hop.
