    Having the day off today. Time to kick back and relax with this 2010 bottle of speedway stouts. Beats the hell out of a fresh one.

    I was thinking it would have fallen off. But it's drinking great!

    Back East from CT, opened July 2012. Mostly mediocre beers, Porter is solid and recall this being decent from last year. Labeled as a hoppy blonde: citra, simcoe and galaxy.

    Pleasant aroma, faint melon and nectarine. Bready malt comes through as well. However, taste is all wrong. Artificial, harsh lemon astringency. No malt characteristics. One dimensional, far too bitter. ABV (6%) seems high to be classified as a Blonde, sub 5% would be ideal. Cans are only one month old so my memory definitely failed me. Hello, drain.

    That should be just enough medication to keep the nerves quiet on those "knee-knockers' on the front nine today.:wink:Excellent choice of beer, also. I think I might have to buy another summer sampler since we ripped through the first one pretty fast. The Kolsch is sublime IMO. Hit em' solid!

    It was a good round. You just have to believe in the pre-match beer.
    The summer sampler is excellent. Kellerweis and Kolsch hit the bullseye.
