Finally dipped into one of these tonight. They call it an "old ale" but its so unique I dont know how to classify it. But I really enjoyed it (especially in my favorite Hops & Grain glass)

Its one of the smoothest 10% beers I've ever had! Could easily kill the 4pack if I werent splitting it with a buddy. Will definitely be buying another 4 pack soon

I don't think they make a barrel aged version of Barrel-Aged Blackout Stout.

Tonight was a nice long tasting in a way:

Nice O-fest. Robust flavors with a dense body. Well done
    [IMG]

Really nice Xmas beer! Very robust with a very balanced and almost subtle spicing note. Lots of dark bread, toffee, brown sugar, chocolate. This needs to be 6 pack christened.

Hell yea! So excellent. Tons of complex light fruitiness with honey, candi sugar, and breadiness. Nice peppery/earty yeast esters. That's 3/3 great beers from Val Dieu. Need some more styles from them.

Holy shit. This is like a simcoe hopped imperial Belgian golden ale. I need more Sound Brewery stuff for sure! So damn fantastic!

I got some Zombie dust incoming, I still have a few sitting in the back of the fridge.

    Cheers!

I think I'd try Double Trouble first... Wasn't a fan of DD.

But that's not a bad idea........

This + resin make me really like 6point. Bengali tiger was above average but diesel was a let down. Those are the only 4 beers I've had from them in spite of them all being on the shelves in chicago

I feel you on that. Don't get me wrong, devil dancer was good just a little to hot, double trouble is a personal favorite though.

The other two beers (other two being from Heavy Seas) from my beer of the month club gift I received for Christmas. Never heard of this brewery before but they're solid beers nonetheless.

Apparently this ones retired? Tastes pretty fresh to me. Anybody know?

They were both available, and I'd both by themselves, so I thought what the hell. It was crazy delicious. Like an overhopped KBS. Very few other Devil Dancer traits came through.

For the record, I don't like Devil Dancer fresh, or with a year on it. I think it's pretty tasty after 18 months, though.
