Good evening...IPA night in my world:
loving the beers and the music:
Don't underestimate a good stuffed roast chicken with haggis. MMM. Makes me miss Old Blackfriars in Aberdeen.
Today I had a Hopslam, got a bottle of Right Brains Naughty Girl Scout Mint Stout, and decided to pop open one of the one offs from Dark Horse called Mmmm (a Chocolate Rye Porter aged in Rye Whiskey barrels)
So much better than my first beer of the night

Now this thanks to woodjjacct!
And now, a bittersweet beer. The last in my stash, and the supplies have all dried up in my area. It was without a doubt, my favorite new beer to come along last year, and I'll hate not being able to get any more.
Just popped this from the "cellar" ( a case of beer under my desk) ~60 degrees in the ale and about 11 outside.
This was my standout of the holiday season. Sierra Nevada Narwhal.
Listening to old school P.
These threads start way to early now. I can never read everything when I start browsing around 9:00pm
Anyway, drinking a Black Butte XXIII
Just picked up the new Miles Davis Bootleg Series today. Its been a particularly musical Miles day. Cause I then compared with the first bootleg, now on to Porgy & Bess
Staying international, after cleansing my palate with some Saltines and water, I am returning to a recently discovered English old ale: Thomas Hardy's Ale...
Man, I have had some great new beer fortune lately... Jesus, this is good... nothing this drinkable should have an 11+% abv - it's crazy that you don't notice it at all (course it's aged 4 years, so...) - it's like an "insane drinkability" contest, between the Verdi stout from earlier and this old ale...
Hey, did y'all see/hear the new Alice in Chains yet? Kinda sad/disturbing video, but awesome stuff:
This beer is good.
First time having this and I'm really enjoying it!!
I like this Van Zandt better.
Cherry rye on tap, then a BCS regular infused (Randall) with vanilla beans, now a BC coffee... Got to love Brixie's !!!!
Having a yummy, yeasty Don De Dieu for my first one on Friday night. Happy weekend BA's!
Sipping on this BA stout on a snowy New England night...
Spend 4 minutes listening to this acoustic version from my dear friends band, Bronze Radio Return. You may recognize the chorus, it was "borrowed" by Phil Philips for his hit single "Home"2 years after this song was written.
I have to say that is my first time hearing that, thanks for sharing! Cheers bro ~
Townes is the best Van Zandt, no question.
Michigan's finest! Have a hoppy evening!
First time hearing any Townes van Zandt or just that song? He is one of the greatest song writers to ever live, yet other people made his writing famous. You should also check out his good friend, who was equally talented, Blaze Foley.
That was a well spent 4 minutes! Thanks!
To you and 4balance, yes. I can't get enough of Van Zandt. Might put on my original EMI record Our Mother the Mountain.
i salute your appreciation for miles sir. listening to In a Silent Way now and then Bitches Brew right after. Listening to these two albums back to back is amazing!
drinking Bell's Hopslam now then I'll nightcap with a Founders Porter or SN Bigfoot. Cheers!
Homebrew porter with mesquite molassess.
First time hearing anything from him. I have to say that is one of the things I really enjoy about LNBA is hearing music I've never experienced. Amazing how many talented bands there are. I'm a metal head but I do appreciate all genres with an open mind, (just like beer!) thanks again for sharing and opening my mind to some really cool jams. Cheers ~
Me and the wife are enjoying this. Got it for 3$
sometimes you just gotta chill and listen to some poetry set to music.
I respect Mile's fusion period. Live Evil and On the Corner are my favorites from his post Quintet days. Though, as much as I try, I can't get into In a Silent Way, Bitches Brew, or many of the others like Jack Johnson. I don't know, I am weird like that Cheers to Bells and Founders.
Stateside Saison from Stillwater.
And since people are posting what they are listening to, here is what I am jamming to right now....
Hope its still on Saturday. Are those IKEA Flowers?
How is it on tap?
