I still haven't figured out how to get a pic to post from my cell phone, but I just scored a keg of Weasel Boys bourbon barrel aged RIS, aka, Anastasia stout! The regular Anastasia won a gold medal at the GABF in Colorado.

Holy freeging crap. I expected this beer to be good but I don't even know what to say. I am unreasonably happy right now drinking this. It is almost a religious experience. It is the best beer I have ever had.... seriously

Drinking light tonight in preparation of trying to "Ride the Rail" at the Beer Bistro in Chicago's West Loop at 1PM. A team of 20 has 4 hours to tackle all 180 beers. There are a whole lot of doozies on there. We'll see.

Hitter box, that is old school. We used to call those dingers on account of the sound they'd make when they'd hit the floor/ground. Ding!

That's a good rule. I follow the old pilot's rule -- "8 hours between the throttle and the bottle!" Same thing with court.

As I drank my growler also from Jim I couldn't help but think that "Loss of Virginity" would have been a more suitable name because it was that damn good!!

RR Consecration...such a solid sour. Doesn't taste anything like the 10% abv listed on the label. Top notch for sure.

Damn, I wish The Old Quarter was still in Houston, and not the sorry relocated version in Galveston.

I also wish Ranger Creek was a good brewery or distillery. They try, but are neither:(
