    OK, OK, I'll start it. :stuck_out_tongue:

    Good morning, BAs! Starting my day with my favorite coffee stout in the world: Peche Mortel.

    Cheers, and enjoy your week!

    This is a great way to start but a difficult beer to follow. Perhaps my favorite of all time.

    Toppling Goliath 1492:
    "In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue. Though his course lay true, he ran into a mighty cephalopod, which stuck him through. With a whack-whack, the mast gave a crack. One big smack and the sails went slack. The ship started to wobble, so they gave the beast a throttle, tossing it bodily into an open bottle. They let it stew until it turned into this delicious brew for you and your crew."

    My first Bourbon County and wow, this beer does not mess around! This was a 2013 and yet the bourbon came through loud and clear. Great beer, but I have two more bottles and I think I will save them for the winter. :slight_smile:

    Wow this is an outstanding imperial stout. This should be in the top 250 it is extremely under rated, should have picked up more than one four pack. I would highly recommend picking it up if you see it.

    I wasn't able to post during my trip to Vegas but I found a nice craft beer bar actually on the strip, The Pub at Monte Carlo. They had around 100 draft lines include five from Goose Island, Ballast Point, Squatters, Delirium, and many others.

    Top 'o the mornin' BA's! Almost 11 here in way-too-hot NOVA & I'm not working 'til this afternoon. Figured I had time to spare to put away one of these handsome devils:
    [IMG]
    That hits the spot!
    Thought this might fit the bill music-wise:

    A few thoughts & sidebars this morning:
    Watched True Detective last night. Wow, this season already looks better than the last & that's saying something. Colin Farrell might just be my new personal hero. Vince Vaughn killed it, too.

    @5EKF :
    1) Pairing looked awesome last night, as always!
    2) I wanted to either wish you good luck on the job interview, or congratulate you on getting the gig, not sure which is appropriate now at this point in the day. :wink:

    @LeperJim :
    1) It appears that I owe you a beer, good sir!
    2) Funny I have that very same allergy. I can't stand how kids today seem to think that proper spelling & word usage are 'optional'.

    @WesMantooth :

    As always- Drink up & drink on, my fellow advocates!

    Kids today? Have you spent more than 5 minutes on BeerAdvocate? :wink:

    (I would totally post a "How-to" guide thread for spelling, word choice, apostrophes, and grammar, if I could figure out how to make it beer related. :grinning:)

    Haha, we should brainstorm that thread sometime. I find that people tend to respond better to being educated if you make it fun. What's more fun than beer? :slight_smile:

    Ex: 'Now, where would Pliny the Elder put the comma?'

    That looks like a nice, refreshing beer!!! Thanks, it was the last of the deep dish and I was already eating French bread earlier with olive oil, so I decided to finish that as well. The group exercise class was really good today and I pretty know what they're looking for in an instructor, as well as how they would want me to keep the class going. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take the director of the fitness department through a workout because he had an unexpected meeting he had to go to at a different location and we'll have to schedule it for another day, booo!!! The group exercise supervisor said that she thinks I pretty much have the job as personal trainer and group exercise instructor but for some reason the YMCA is holding off with new hires for a bit.

    The kind words are much appreciated!

    Patio beer after taking the mutt to the vet. It's been a month since her knee surgery and she's made great progress. She's now allowed to start going on short walks again. I'm not sure who's happier as it will be nice to burn off a few extra beer calories.

    Really digging the blood orange in this beer. I had it on tap a couple of days ago and ventured out in search of some today. Seems to be selling out fast. Short's Anniversary Ale is the only other blood orange beer I've had that comes to mind. Refreshing on a muggy day with some bad storms approaching.

    Let's have a great week......
