Straight up Centennial hops. Citric pith and pine resin, all blended together...

Solid malt base. Faint yeasty, fruity tang on the finish.

Always a favorite. Tough to beat fresh.

Victory Prima Pils watched the tailend of a Little Bigtown concert on PBS. I get the feeling they would be a pretty good/awesome band if they could get way from all the horseshit associated with the present-day Nashville/Country Music scene

Prairie BOMB! Imperial Stout with Coffee, Vanilla, Cacao Nibs, and Chili Peppers. This one never disappoints. Balance is the key to this one. All the flavors are well integrated, yet you can pick each one out. The coffee seems to be the most prominent, followed by the mild chili peppers (almost like a green pepper vegetal flavor wight ever-so-slight-heat), vanilla sweetness, and light cacao nibs. There is also some slight roasted malt and carmel sweetness. Amazing stuff!

Saw a couple of these on here tonight so figured I'd go for one of my two left. The bourbon is really subdued now with almost nine months on it now. Caramel sweetness really takes over. Hmmmm...might like this one better fresh but I thought the bourbon was a bit too heavy then.

TGIF LNBA'S!!! Well sorta since I have work tomorrow  @WineGuy3000 here's my pairing for when you get around to checking this. For dinner we have a half slab of smoked pork ribs, tomato and cucumber salad, a couple slices of the Italian meats stuffed pizza and Elysian Dayglow IPA due to the generous nature of @JayWhitson

    Reviews:

This was supposed to be a NBS BIF review beer, however I've already had it and reviewed. Revisit review. Aromas and flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange peel, and pine; with moderate sweetness of caramel, honey, and toasted bread. Good sized pine/citrus rind bitter finish; with great overall flavor balance between juicy hops flavors and moderate malt sweetness; with a great bitterness balance. Smooth and sticky/resinous hop finish; light creaminess; not too heavy on mouthfeel. Great well hidden ABV level, minimal warming. This was really damn excellent. IIRC they did redo the hop bill a bit, and my initial review was over 3 years ago and I liked this a LOT more. Delicious stuff.

This was really tasty. Aromas and flavors of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toast, dark bread, and light dark fruits; with some herbal/light peppery hop flavors. Light-medium herbal hop/roasty bitter finish; great bitter/sweet balance of flavors; good robustness; fairly crisp finish, light creaminess. A very good standard tasting schwarzbier; clean, smooth, and well balanced. Really enjoyed it.

Sauternes BA BSDA. I've been constantly searching this series out, even though the price point is pretty huge. Anyways, this was totally awesome! Aromas and flavors of huge raisin, plum, fig, date, apple, white grape, caramel, toast, brown sugar, cocoa, and tannic wine notes; with moderate peppery yeast spice with nice sized vanilla and spicy oak presence as well. Great malt and yeast ester flavor balance. Very smooth for the ABV, minimal warming on the finish. Good carbonation, fairly crisp, light creaminess. Great barrel presence overall. Just all around awesome, the wine barrel and Belgian dark ale balance was seriously spot on with this beer. All of this series has been seriously great all around, but I find that the Dark variants usually turn out a bit better than the Pale ones.

Now THAT'S what I like to see! And I can relate to him because sometimes creatures like him and I just need some alone time and then we're good again. It's considered strange behavior by many but it's simply who we are. :sunglasses:
