I don't know how to upload images, but I just enjoyed my first Old Rasputin russian imperial stout. Holy hell it was good.

It was convenient for me to pick up the spring blue moon sampler pack when I was shopping at the grocery store, plus I'm behind on my reviews for some of the blue moon varieties ( and I neglected to review the original blue moon). Being a ticker makes you do crazy things,..

I'm drinking Blue Moon Valencia Grove Amber

    My rating, 3.19/5.

Not bad for what it's trying to be. I'd rather have the snifter above this post.

Clown shoes is very under rated. Most of the ranking on here have them in the 80's, while rogues are all rated much higher. I personally like clown shoes over rogues

Started with my great IPA/IIPA experiment that I'll be posting in the cellering forum when I re-review all six brews. Had a DFH 90min bottled 2/3/11, Harpoon Leviathan Imperial IPA best by date 5/15/11. Moved onto Brooklyn BCS and I have a year old ST Choklat in the fridge.

I just want to say, in my hazy buzz, i <3 cherry rye. really I do. And as weird as it sounds, it was the perfect dessert following my overbrimmingily decadent tacos.

Dragonmead "Killer Bee". Supposedly a honey-laced version of Final Absolution. Very interesting taste.

Just finishing a bottle of Ruthless Rye, which I enjoyed the other night, as well. It's pretty good, for sure: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/140/76816/?ba=fmccormi

But, not exactly my favorite. I wonder if anyone at SN's toyed with a rye version of Hoptimum . . . because THAT could have some serious potential. A dank-ass NorCal Ryewine.

Edit: back to reading for now. Slavery & Identity by Mieko Nishida, if anyone's interested in my work.

Stopped by a new distributor (new to me) and took out the Rouge 4 glass sampler bat tonight for:
River Horse Milk Stout (good but no Moo Hoo, my new love)
Six Point 3 Bean (reason for going to distributor, very good beer, heavy coffee)
MOA Imperial Stout in Pinot Barrel (ehhh)
Green Flash Double Stout (1st time having it, good but was hoping to find Palette Wrecker)

    Cheers all

Had this for the first time not too long ago. Thought it smelled like a fat pile of sticky icky haha. It was really good. I might like that one better than Red's Rye PA.
