Good morning everyone! Dealing with a small case of insomnia so I figured I would get this party started. Admittedly when I bought this beer I thought it was a stout. Yes, it does help to read labels clearly. Still, I really liked it! The banana flavor is there, but it's very subtle and therefore not overwhelming. Overall it's a very crisp, refreshing brew. Perfect for this heat wave that has engulfed Seattle for the past couple of weeks.

First bottle of my blackberry lambic that was aged for over 2 years on wild blackberries. Too slow on the draw to get the rapidly dissipating head in the pic. Super dry, super tart, tons of berries - wonderful.

I'm loving the Sierra Nevada sampler for the summer. This is a great wheat beer.

Good morning - 6:45 here on the swollen Mississippi. Very breezy and the air is heavy and sweet with the anticipation of rain. Logs and all manner of debris are floating by...

This morning's beer is "Bomb!" by Prarie Artisan Ales:

I believe this beer lives up to the hype. Chocolate and roasted coffee bean nose. Cocoa, espresso and chilies flavors with chili pepper linger. Powdery cocoa tongue coating with boozy peppery burn on the finish. Simply outstanding.

The horn sounds three times as a barge goes by...it's shaping up to be another wonderful day. Drink well my friends!

Good morning BAs! Starting the day with a very fizzy Blue Pants Wheat with Peach.

well not drinking right now, but I was up until 2 am painting the kitchen and drinking, so I think that counts. Finished off 2 HeadHunters (bottles 6/16!) and 2 Lake Erie Monsters. Woke up and the lines were straight and there was no paint on the floor or ceiling!

Happy Hump day, BA's - and happy July 1st!

It is looking a bit gray and dreary here again - June has been a very wet month - nearly 8" of rain...hopefully July will be a bit drier and with more sunshine!!

A bit psyched to go look at yet another boat opportunity this upcoming weekend, a cool Tanzer 22 sailboat, on Pymatuning reservoir in nearby PA...do not really need another boat project, but this one seems too good to pass up (price, Free!)

Anyhoo....drink well and often, beer peeps!

The Tanzer 22 - could be a new boat in my immediate future!

Good morning, BAs! I've had one cup of morning coffee, and it's time for another. With vanilla. And barley, yeast, and hops....

How does this compare to the non-coffee version?

For me - it blows it out of the water. Definitely my new favorite coffee stout now that I finally got my hands on some. Also the best finish on a coffee stout I've ever experienced; so complex yet very balanced. Not a single flavor note that overrides the others

Wow, ok, I absolutely have to get my hands on one then! I love coffee stouts so I have a feeling I will feel the same way about it as you. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
