First off, I'd like to apologize if this post belongs elsewhere...that being said, a few months back I was in Portland at Novare Res Bier. I asked the bartender for a good recommendation and he asked if I liked "sour diesel". I naturally said yes and he poured me a glass of a British ale and I can't remember the name of it for the life of me. I know if I saw that name again it would click so I was hoping someone could refresh my memory. Thanks and once again sorry if this should be posted elsewhere! Cheers!

No, it was British. We had a long conversation about the craft beer scene over there.

Old ale from scotland... I've seen it recommended at Novare a few times. Not British though - so I'll keep thinking on it :slight_frown:

People from Scotland are British and Scottish.... People from England are also British, but they are English :astonished: . So you may actually be right about the beer!
