    1. Lagunitas.... lots of people only know their regular IPA... I pump up the stuff we BAs like
    2. Sierra Nevada.... SNPA out of the bottle in particular.... great every time. Plus you can win bets with beer 'experts' who don't know it's bottle conditioned.

Pike just does not get enough love! I still go out of my way to get their XXXXX Stout, a very underrated beer imo. Maybe I should start advocating for that one myself .

Anyway, I love hearing about your local scene- keep it up!

Smuttynose is really underrated, because their regional competition is fierce. I love their Robust Porter, Imperial Stout and Baltic Porter. The 'Big Beer Series' has some good stuff too, like the Scotch Ale and Barleywine. I like Really Old Brown Dog more than most of my friends.

Definitely don't miss their Mare Nectaris (Sour Brown Wild Ale) if it's still on tap when you go! Love your avatar by the way. “Laughs are cheap. I’m going for gasps.”

Westbrook Gose. It's $2 a pop. Though not widely distro, so all the more reason to talk about it to get more demand and spread the wealth.

Hope to check out the tasting room sometime soon. I live pretty close. Right on the VT/NH border a little north of Dartmouth. Its been on my list for a while now.

I spent a couple years out in Seattle and I think there is a huge beer scene in that area that gets very little recognition. I mean, people talk about Fremont (and they should) but other great breweries seem to be mostly/completely overlooked if you do not live in or around Seattle. Examples:

Georgetown (Lucille is among my favorite IPAs)
Black Raven (consistently innovative and excellent beers)
Airways (buddies of mine who make beers I really love)
    Hales Ales

Bent Paddle beers. I always try to make sure I include one or two BP extras for my trade buddies. Soon everyone will see their greatness!

I just tried this the other day. Not terrible, but a little too boozy for me.

Get a bottle with a couple years on it, I've seen 2012s on the shelf at some places. The booze fades nicely and brings a lot of flavors into focus.
