I became fascinated with beer in California, quite a while before I moved to Maine. The big ones that sparked my interest for me were
    Sierra Nevada Torpedo
    Mendocino Brewing Red Tail Ale
(Another MBC that I can't remember)
A red ale by Speakeasy? I think?
    Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin
    New Belgium Citradelic

Sierra Nevada Otra Vez (prickly pear) was the first beer that blew my mind.

I know my palate has evolved dramatically, as I know longer really enjoy West Coast IPAs, but when it's all that I knew, man, these beers were the bee's knees.

Might give stones Ruination 2.0 another chance. I first tasted it about a couple years ago, and my inexperienced palate was unprepared for such a beastly brew.

Enjoyed all of these, but only bought them once or twice after the first time...or not at all. :astonished:
