The first one that piqued my interest was Brooklyn Post Road Pumpkin Ale... after that it was solidified by Founders Centennial.

Like many WI BA's Spotted Cow was the first craft that got me hooked. Then the rest of theNG line up. I still enjoy everything Dan brews to this day. The only one I do not buy frequently is Spotted Cow, still grab it bars when it is the only craft option.

When I was a kid, my mom got my dad a mixed case of awesome Rogue bombers for xmas and he would let me sip on them with him. As a result I knew I wanted to get into beers and especially IPAs, but my first craft beer was La Fin du Monde (obviously not an IPA) and my first IPA was Lagunitas. God I love beer.!

Unibroue's Maudite and Fin du Monde probably got the ball rolling for me. My brother made me try it when I was in university. Sadly, I still have not done complete reviews for either of them (shame on me).

Fullers London Porter was the first beer that made me realize that all beer didn't taste like dreck.

Slow progression for me. Started drinking Busch Light and Coors light. Mac & Jacks got me to love craft beer and started trying new stuff from there. Spent a year hating IPA's and only drank darker offerings and Hefes. Now that progressed into loving all styles and even drank 4 bombers of IPA/DIPAs last night. Now I am approaching 500 different beers and never thought I would at this stage when Busch Light was my go to beer.

Long Trail Ale for me. I thought the packaging was cool, but one sip turned me onto craft beer after years of BMC drinking. Pilsner Urquell is what really pushed me full force into beer geekdom though, it made me realize that glassware, storage, and freshness dates are important.

It was largely a combination of the beers my dad and uncles used to drink at family get togethers: SN pale ale, Guinness, JW Dundee's Honey Brown, and Red Stripe. I started experimenting a bit more in college, but I couldn't go too crazy cause I was on a limited budget, as most college kids are. I'd get a decent looking sixer of something I'd never tried before maybe once a month, and filled in the rest of the time with dirt cheap Jacob Best (IIRC, I could get 24 cans for $8 or something like that).

It was a slow and steady tilt form Miller High Life to Leinenkugels HoneyWeiss to Fat Tire. Summit EPA as well.

I kind of went from drinking only Heineken (hard to imagine now) to Guinness to anything from Samuel Adams. Then one day a good friend of mine gave me one of his Arrogant Bastard Ales and I was pleasantly astounded that beer could be so bold and flavorful. It's been a great journey since then

Paulaner Hefe-Weizen. It used to be just at Oktoberfest, then I started getting it at bars if they had it and buying it for at home. It led to me trying other wheats and then other offerings from those breweries, and now I'm happily enjoying all kinds of stuff, mostly IPA's and Belgian styles. The Coors Light sure was cheaper, though.

Stone's Old Guardian and Imperial Russian Stout are the ones I blame for my current (since about 2005) obsession with good beer.
