I'm not a FFF fan boy because I live in Indiana and still cant get their sought after beers but Permanent Funeral labeled as a pale ale with no ABV in sight got me as I tried to drink a couple bombers of it when I finally found some

    Melange 3
A 64 oz. growler of Breakfast Stout
And 20 oz. of De Garde's Morningstar (15.5% golden ale, that tastes like 7%)

Those 3 are responsible for drunkness beyond comprehension...3 different occasions, of course. If it was 1, my liver would be dead.

Backwoods Bastard recently kicked my ass despite my predilection for BBA beers...and I didn't really like it that much. Just strong and boozy as HELL. Taste-wise. Didn't get me that drunk.

Another recent reality check was 3F Cimmerian Sabertooth Berserker. I'm jaded to mega-hoppy IPAs but for some reason THAT one in particular was just serving me so hard. The hop bitterness plus the strong malt backbone was just a head-clearer every sip.

I went into Raison D'Extra knowing it was 18%, but damn if that's not the easiest-drinking 18% ever. I ordered 8 oz. of Samichlaus Helles recently and probably only made it through 3 oz., it was so punishingly sweet and boozy. And that was 14%, and I LOVE mega-high ABV beers.

Black Husky Pale Ale (listed at 7.2% i think, but usually comes in higher) without a doubt. holy shit. had 5 pints the first time i tried it, don't remember getting home.. next thing i knew i woke up in the middle of my bedroom floor, clothes gone, shouting to my wife that i had lost my arms. (It was very early in the night, btw) it's much better story when she tells it.

^^^ small addition to my story. i drink a LOT of beer that clocks in @ higher abvs, so i have no idea why that one wrecks my world up so bad.. but, it tastes so good. When it hits your lips, it's so good!

North Coast Old Stock Ale and Palo Santo Marron. Both are delectable, but both can be headache in a bottle.

Mikkeller 黑牛 (Black Buffalo) kicked my butt, and in an odd coincidence* at 19.3% ABV it is the strongest beer I've ever encountered.

Jacks Abby Kiwi Rising. I love it so much that I drink it too fast and after a three fills my speech is slurred.

For me it's all Lagunitas. Little Sumpin Extra, Little Sumpin Wild, Brown Shugga, Sucks. All taste so damn good and are so easy drinking. You sit down to drink and before you know it you've had 3-4 in an hour and a half. You get up to take a leak and WHOA! The world is slightly off kilter, you need to steady yourself to keep it in the bowl.....

They just added 6 packs of Resin to the mix a few months ago. Only $2 more than the 4 packs, at least here by me, so obviously well worth it.

Bourbon barrel aged stouts have really disagreed with me lately. Though it's probably the amount I put away.

    Duclaw Retribution is aptly named.

Something in Bigfoot kicks my azz everytime.

Never forget the night I polished off a sixpack, I was crispy around the edges.
