I am often not a big fan of fruit beers, but I really enjoyed some Delirium Red with a basic red sauce a while back. Something similar – fruity, a little acidic, and not too dry – could probably do well, too.

    Left Hand Milk Stout

Smooth, 6% abv, easy to find...

The creamy lactose feel cuts through the sharp acidity from the tomato and compliments the rich cheese.

What kind of spaguetti? If it´s pomodoro or bolognese I would pair with a witbier. If it´s pesto I would go with a Red Ale or American Pale Ale. If the sauce is creamy and spicy a hefeweizen. Man I´m hungry now.

I really like a hefeweizen with spaghetti or ravioli. Widmer or Schell's are my go to beers for pastas with red sauce.

FYI... A few days ago I had an Extra Hoppy Old Guardian with my spaghetti. Perfect!

Depending on the sauce, either a saison, or a malty lager (think Vienna, Märzen, etc) is what I'd go with.

Speaking red sauce, for me its dogfish head 61. Or stella artois. For white sauce, alfredo, i go with IPAs and for shits n giggles chicken francese is very good with an ipa and marsala is great with a brown ale or APA even. Coming from a guy who eats 90% pasta all week for me pasta was the hardest food to pair for some reason
