Gouden Carolus Van De Kaizer Blauw(sp?), would buy one for Christmas every year and drink the one from the year prior. I used to think it was just me in a time machine buying myself a great beer that tasted better than new!! Then I found this site.....

Well KBS was the first beer I bought with the intention of holding onto it for a long time. 150 beers later and I have a problem . . .

That would be Unibroue 17 Grand Reserve a couple of years ago. Typically age my cellared beers for year or two, now up to 30 beers.

The beer that started it for me is a bomber of 2009 BCBS. I bought it at a local store when you could still readily find them on the shelves back in '09. I then moved onto cellaring Brooklyn BCS and the rest has been history. Up to over 130 beers in the cellar but still have my original 2009 BCBS!

Black Butte XXI. Guy at the store told me to buy two bottles, one to drink right away and one to save for a year or more. Prior to that, the thought of holding onto a beer for more than a week was foreign!

I have a few bottles of Bell's This One Goes to 11 in my frig. Had one recently and it still tasted very good. The first beer I'm intentionally cellaring is Bell's Expedition Stout. Interested to see how it tastes in a year.

'12 Parabola and '12 Sucaba. I couldn't decide which I wanted to drink more at the time I bought them. And I guess I still haven't decided.

Bought a house at the end of 2012 so actually had room which is when I started, and it was just in time for BCBS - so that was the first!

Brand new cellar geek here. Just started in December with four 750ml of the trader joes Vintage Ale made by unibroue. Since then I have added quite a be bottles of various barrel aged beers and a few stouts, including BA Siberian Night and Wulver by Thirsty Dog. Now have about 25 bottles that I can't wait to get age on so I can compare and contrast the differences.

Just started and don't really have a lot of room to store stuff in my condo, but I have a 2012 Ten Fidy in the fridge that was my first to build the momentum. I will probably buy a wine fridge or something soon to make more space and store at a more optimal temp. I now probably have about 25 different bottles I plan to age to at least some extent.
