There's a liquor store in my area that is downsizing and they marking all of their craft beer down by like 35% but some of them were kept unrefrigerated and I would like some advice on what to buy and what not to buy.

    "Must"? - None.

    "Benefit from"? - All*

    * The cellaring fanatics will object, of course.
IF you choose to cellar your beer after purchase,
in hopes that aging at cellar temps will have a
beneficial affect, that is up to the individual.
Beer should not be "pre-aged" warm on the retailer's shelf.
I want even the beers I decide to cellar to be in the best
condition and fresh when I buy them.

Correct that most low ABV beers benefit from it the most. They also have the shortest shelf life. The stouts and higher ABV brews can "tolerate" more.

Some brewers like Shorts will say referigerate because they dont process the beers. I find some of the smaller brewers like kUhnhenns go bad after 3-4 years if not refrigerated whereas I have stile nacht over 10 and still strong. I dont think ts the style as much as the brewers processing.
