I was reading some reviews and it got me thinking, which beers have a completely unique flavor. My first thought was pumpking. It is polarizing, its unique, it isnt like any other pumpkin beer. Are there others? I am talking 100 percent has a unique and different flavor profile than any other beer.

There's probably a whole bunch of Dogfish Head brews that fall under that banner- Birra Etrusca, for example.

Orval is another one, except for the supposed imitators (which I don't believe I've ever had)- still, there's nothing quite like it.

I was about to say pretty much any non regular lineup from Dogfish Head. Drink something like Noble Rot and try to find something that tastes like it.

Meantime Naval College Old Porter. Tastes like bittersweet chocolate-covered peat. And it is heavenly.

There's a lot of weird ones I can include, but I'm gonna go with Heady Topper. Never had another beer even remotely close to it

I guess I didnt think this one (or my thread spelling) through. Obviously dfh. I think ive just stuck to their ipa line and never tried to many of their other stufdlf to think about it. Also voodoo maple bacon DUH! So what are peoples favorites cause clearly a lot of these beers are polarizing to a point.

Oh also I dont think any ipa really fits the bill. Hops pretty much are hops, even with the insane amout of variation you can do with them at the end of the day when you taste a ipa or apa you know what it is.

Agree that it's incredible, closest I've ever had to it was Double Sunshine from Lawson's finest

also agreed that it's incredible, though i'm not convinced it fits the bill for most unique. while it might be the best d/ipa around, it's still a d/ipa. for uniqueness value i'd throw out voodoo donut maple bacon, mentioned above. even something like DFH's palo santo marron would be better suited for a uniqueness discussion IMO, just nothing else really like it.

Ive never had heady so maybe im wrong. But im was looking for totally uniqur flavors here. Can hops really bring that. Once again I havemt tried ht but im willing to guess if I did try it I would agree with bostonhops here.

Stone and two brothers new dayman coffee ipa was super unique and tastu to me but I am sure there are other coffee ipas out there or some brewery will follow suit.
