The weirdest tasting beer that I enjoyed was THIS. Up until that point, I've not conceived of such an odd pairing of flavors that worked. Be warned though, there's no middle ground- either you'll love it, or hate it. It's retired but I basically stumbled upon it. Their Sea smoke English Barley-wine is also quite good.

I'm throwing any of Southern Tier's Blackwater Series out there. Sure, there are other oatmeal, chocolate, coffee, and mocha stouts out there, but none of them taste quite like ST's; whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, well, that seems to be quite a divisive topic. Oh, and Creme Brulee, as others said.

Dogfish Head also falls into this category.

It's easy to brew a weird beer, it's difficult to brew a beer of a known style that is so unique. I've had a lot of DIPAs and IPAs and never one remotely in close in flavor to Heady.

DFH has a lot that fit this description, but the one that sticks in my head is immort ale, never had anything like it, I didn't love it, but it was certainly unique.

Apple Brandy Hunahpu. It practically ruins glassware with its consistency, and I've never had anything remotely close to the flavor.

    Wells Banana Bread Beer

Appearance: Clear brown, looks like tea.

Aroma: Smells exactly like banana bread, which is this stuffs best quality.

Flavor: Burnt banana bread soaked in rubbing alcohol.

Overall: This was a bad idea. I like the taste of banana in the hefe-weizens but this has NO malt or hops flavors at all. Only banana and alcohol. Does not taste remotely like a beer. Just a mixture of water, banana flavored syrup and alcohol. IMO, it would make a great air freshener but I won't suggest drinking it.
