Sam Adams Utopias is far and away the most unique beer I've ever tasted.

I thought Lucifer was like Duvel Lite. YMMV.

But as for unique, Le Terroir from New Belgium was a totally unique beer. Nothing I've had since has come close.

Going w/Aventinus nothing else tastes quite like it incl. it's closest German competitors.

It's pure poetry in a glass, and a seeming mass of contradictions that work so well together- light fruits (like tangerine) and candy-like flavors alongside very earthy funkiness; a lot of complexity hidden behind a very ethereal mouthfeel. FWIW- if it gets too old the brett starts to take over, so try to make your first one on the young side and enjoy!

Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA is absolutely exceptional. World-class, but I wouldn't consider it an IPA. It's in it's own category closer to a barleywine

Anchor Porter is like a cross between a BSDA and a porter and it's pretty damn nice too

Many of Jester King's beers. They range from incredible to incredibly awful IMO. I'm gonna have to throw El Cedro out there for sure... Unique is the only good thing I have to say about that beer though lol.. I've never found anything that was remotely close to Funk Metal either, and it blew my mind...

Also, I agree with most of what has been mentioned, but I'll add New Belgium Heavenly Feijoa

    Delicious and Unique.

I also want to give some love to Houblon Chouffe, though I feel like I post about it too much.

Buddy of mine home brewed a jalapeƱo Pilsener. Sounds weird but tasted real good. He took out the stems and seeds, so it didn't have as much of a kick as I would have liked.

Saison Du BUFF (DFH)...as my fiance described it: "it tastes like lasagna in a bottle...and I love it!"
