Nice, I always enjoyed that one, not my favorite, but it's well-made and tasty.

This post reminded me though that I don't believe I've seen it recently at my local (admittedly I haven't looked hard either, but still).

If indeed it is missing, that continues a disturbing trend in the Boston area. This year I noticed a serious lack of lagers at my favorite spot. Troegs Cultivator, Southern Tier Where the Helles Summer, Hofbrau Maibock for example (two out of these three I noticed at a larger store though).

They appear to have been replaced by several different IPA variants with fruit added to them. But, anyways, this is getting off topic.

Prima is being canned as well right?

Yep. Victory has a new label design for the bottle and the can is much the same design. Picture on their website.

Assuming the selection was mostly Corona and its variants...how good is a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in locations like that? It's deliciously bitter and so different than everything else.

Rising Tide MITA. IMO the best "session" beer out there.

Actually, I have been pleasantly surprised in the past two years with the amount of craft beer that is in Puerto Rico. I found plenty of Bell's, Founder's, Ommegang, Bear Racer, and there's a place in Aguadilla that even boasts having Mikkeller.

The Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Founder's All Day shined at a tropical location.

My girlfriend found a Dark Penance and the ABV was a bit too high for the heat. I can't remember what it was I had, but I had a DIPA that I could barely finish. We seemed to prefer and stick to sessions/pale ales while in Puerto Rico.

I did have a few people not versed in the craft universe try the Mosaic Promise and the Bell's Smitten Golden Rye Ale and the response was "Ugh". More for me.

We like to enjoy a cold Sea Dog Sunfish or Leinenkugels's summer shandy on a summer day and our own new brew which is a Belgian style wit. We love hearing about all of these different craft brews and are wanting to try them!

Otter Creek Fresh Slice cans are where it's at. I also love their Over Easy and if that were in 15 packs of cans, that's pretty much all I'd drink this summer.

Ommegang Hennepin is another summer staple. So refreshing!

I've also been known to make summer only shandies with Magic Hat #9 cans and pineapple juice. It's the only way I'll drink #9 now.

Westbrook Gose rules over all others for me when it comes to "summer beers."

But I've really been digging the Anderson Valley Briney Mellon Gose, too.

Bells Oberon, Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier, Ballast Point Even Keel, and Victory Prima Pils are right up there, too.
