Hit up the new Avery facility this past weekend. Fantastic place. Within the past month also hit up smaller, local spots Comrade Brewing, Platt Park Brewing, Fermaentra Brewing. All but Comrade were my first visits.

OEC Brewing in Oxford, CT. Highly recommend, if you're a fan of sour beers.

About a month ago went with a few of the boys to a newly opened brewery that we had never been to. Prior to going I looked up the brewery on this site and saw that about a half dozen of their beers were highly rated 4.5+. We went to the brewery & I ordered a flight of those highly rated beers only to be told that 4 of them were not on tap. I expressed my disappointment to the young man doing the pouring & told him about the research I had done & he gave me this shit eating grin. I asked why & he stated (with a nod & a wink) that the guys behind the rail would rate a beer each day they worked just to bring up the numbers. The beers that I did finally order were not good & typically I would chalk this up to being a new brewery & would make it a point to visit them again maybe in a year or so. I don't think I'm going to do that.

Been making the DC area brewery rounds, with my most recent visits to Ocelot, DC Brau, and Right Proper. Overall solid beers from all breweries. Ocelot's "Together We Stand" and "My only Friend" were both note worthy and DC Brau OTWOA will probably be a stable in my fridge. Unfortunately, a growler of "My only Friend" shattered on my drive from Ocelot. First time losing a growler, what a shame.

Burnt hickory, I've been wanting to come to this brewery for over a year because I've heard people say how good it was, finally made it down here to Georgia and honestly not to sound cocky but this in Portland would be mediocre.

Sadly employment, or rather unemployment has slowed my roll. So I've really only been to Chicago joints..Haymarket, Lagunitas and my local Solemn Oath. I was in London in June for work and went to The Kernel which had a really cool barrel room

New local brewery recently opened and went to check out their offerings. Decent first effort, but definitely room for improvement.
