Vault brewing has been penciled in for dinner one night, thanks!

I would check out Alewerks in Williamsburg first . Va. Beer Co. is there also but I haven't had anything from them .
In Richmond definitely hit The Answer/Mekong and the Veil . Tripple Crossing is worth a stop also .
Enjoy your trip . I'll be in Asbury Park in a few weeks , Looking forward to going to Kane .

Don't know how long you'll be there, but Carton's not that far and worth the trek. I also don't have a problem with Dark City, though many do. And eat at Talulah's on Cookman. So worth it.

if your wife likes sours, def oec in oxford ct. they aren't that far from nebco either. kent falls is worth a stop too, but it's 30 min opposite way. excellent scenery though and they sell meat as well.

Another suggestion: most of the NJ breweries have limited hours so you will not be able to hit all or even any. But you can stop at Roger Wilco on your way from Philly to NY. They have a crowler station and kane, carton, and many other NJ breweries on tap at all times. Also have an astonishing selection of cans and bottles.

Thanks for the continuing contributions. I am currently on the ground in DC enjoying near-record heat apparently and a D.C. Brau that tastes like banana flavored colt .45. We were pleasantly surprised by Bluejacket at the ball park. Food was very good, beers were varied and plenty good. No barrel aged beers, though.

It's not a brewery, but I'd strongly suggest that you visit State Line Liquors (http://www.statelineliquors.com/) in Elkton MD. It's only about 5 minutes off I-95 (Exit 109, I think), so it's a minimal detour.
State Line Liquors is like a theme park with world-class beer. More than 3000 different beers, all of which are offered as singles. Despite my best efforts at pre-planning my visit, I typically wander around looking totally overwhelmed by the selection.
They also have 35 beers on tap, which makes it my growler fill "go to" destination if I'm anywhere in the vicinity.
    Highly recommended.

That sounds right up my alley. We have something kind of similar called Hi-time wine cellar in Costa Mesa. Your place sounds like more fun though!

State Line is definitely worth hitting up, especially if you'll be on 95. Keep in mind that their IPA selection isn't great though. But one brewery to seek out there is Manor Hill from Maryland. Pick up a 4 pack of Citra Splendor if they have it.

any of the deciccos in ny for bottles too. they are one of the top shops in the country. brewster and armonk probably the best. forgot to mention too on oec, you can call ahead around when you're in the area and if they're closed, they'll usually sell you bottles and pre filled growlers anyway if they're around. they're open usually last tuesday each month too in evening.

Well, well, no I didn't see the clickable "this" in your statement originally, but I did just now.
That is perfect. With the intensive schedule imposed by family touring, packaged beer and the occasional brewpub has been the norm. With the beer map, however, I was able to plan a couple lunch stops much more easily.
