What did we miss?

Twas a big week in the world of beer while the site was down. Tonight was talking to some Binny's employees while in Chi-town and they mentioned the reduced frenzy for better half coming to town thanks to BA forums being down (although sounds like it still came and went within a day or so). Kind of surprising how much can happen in a week or two...so what did we all miss?

Better Half seems to have hit distro - NY got it while the forums were down
Kate Tickets went onsale and sold out
BA Hi Fi release went down (allotments cut from 6 to 4 and some people were still left with none)
    Town Hall week is now?
    ...and LeBleu...well...still not ready.

what else flew under the radar a bit while the forums were getting the 2.0 treatment? I know trading continued since I managed to set up a trade or two sans forums.

One big one in my area was the Founders Curmudgeon's Better Half. I didn't have customers calling every five minutes to see if we had any. In fact only one customer did ask me about it.

Most productive week I've had at work in a long time..

But seriously, not to much else here in Delaware. Max's in Baltimore had their Belgian Fest. Sounded like it was pretty amazing.

Sounds like KtG tix sold out really quickly (went on sale 5pm Fri and were gone by 3pm Sat). Portsmouth had upped the buy limit to 15 tickets apiece so that might have had something to do with it. Pretty cool they raised $30,000 for charity.

Better Half was very quiet, BA or no BA. Of the 6-7 good stores in my area, I only saw two of them tweet about CBH. One of those (the one farthest from my house and work) mentioned entering a drawing for rights to buy a bottle, the other store (Sam's) sold out in about 4 hours.

I still think there was a lot of truck shadowing (and in some cases, good luck) going on around here.

It might have been quiet but around here the bottles came and went just as quickly as they normally would with any special release.

Happened with CBS this year in the Philly area. Hell, I probably would have done it a few years ago. Now, just doesn't seem worth it.

KtG tickets sold and the same day Hill Farmstead released Damon and Mimosa. Skipped KtG but got bottles of the HF beers. I heard that the first few people went 15 for 15 on KtG tickets from people at the HF release. Must have forgot to shuffle the tickets. Curmudgeon's Better Half also hit the area but I don't think the forums being down had any effect because it seemed to be gone within a few hours.

BA Hi-Fi was released at Flossmoor this past Saturday. Bottle limit was 6 originally, then was lowered to 4 because of how many people were there. Still, for how hyped the beer was I thought there might have been more people in line.

Arctic Devil came and went in So. Cal to my favorite store. 1 case and was gone in blink of an eye.

People actually follow distro trucks? That's kind of sad...

They do, and it is. At least for Founders in the South Jersey area, which leads to cases selling out within 20 minutes of delivery. It's too easy to get caught up in the hype and forget that it's just beer.
