Probably 50-75% of my beer is purchased by the case. Within recent memory...

    Firestone Walker IPA
    Sly Fox Pikeland Pils
    Worthington White Shield
    Victory Prima Pils
    Victory HopDevil
    Pilsner Urquell
    Jever
    SA Noble Pils
    Flower Power

    and seasonals like
    Celebration Ale
    Nugget Nectar
    Bigfoot

Any beer worth drinking is worth buying by the case.

Very little, because if I want it by the case it's either very limited and thus typically unavailable by the case, or, it's readily available and there is little point to buying a case when I can just buy a fresh 6/12-pack at a time.

No cases for me all at once, although I do keep a steady supply of Anchor Steam in the house.

Do retailers put out cases of beer for sale in your part of the world? Around here you really don't see that.

I bought a case of BCBS just because it was there and so was I. If I'm at 3Fs I'll buy a case a Zombie Dust because I know friends who'll want a 6pack or two.

It's usually on a store-by-store basis - the larger stores do and most any other store will gladly sell by the case or order you one. I buy a lot of beer at a NJ chain called Joe Canal's - which features a huge walk-in cooler that is accessible to customers - so the case beer is kept cold (and, because it's in a sealed case- never exposed to light) and date codes are usually much easier to find and read on cases. And many retailers will offer a case discount, too - f'r'instance, I pay $38.99 for a case of Flower Power, whereas a 6 pack costs $10.99 in the same store.

And, ever the Contrarian, I drive west over the Deleware into Pennsylvania to buy beers not available here by the case - while most of the PA BA's do the opposite beer commute to buy singles and sixes on the Jersey side.

The closest I've come to buying a case was a 12-pack of Celebration a few years ago.

Last case I bought was Punkin. Most of my "large" beer purchases are from Sixtels.
