What Do You Buy By The Case?

Flower Power for 42 bucks a case is a bargain IMO, when this one is fresh it's about as good an IPA as you can get.

I usually buy a case each of SN Bigfoot, and Stone IRS every year. Also picked up a case of Elevated IPA when it first hit cans this summer.

I want to get a case of old raspy next, and maybe save up and get one of petrus. I love buying strong age-able beer in bulk.

 

Is it weird that I buy most things by the case? It is actually quite rare that I I just pick up a sixer of something.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned SN Summerfest. I must have bought 10+ cases this year...

 

twice in awhile... Black Butte, Obsidian, Old Raputin, Old Stock, Leffe Blonde, Duvel, The Abyss (annually)

 

I think its been quite a while. Bigfoot might be the most recent.

 

Sierra Nevada Celebration. At least a full case every year.

 

I'm in the same boat. Rarely buy 6ers either. Only if I'm going to a party or something to that effect. I think I've bought 1 6er for home use and it was SN Tumbler. Most beers I buy or want just don't come in 6ers.

 

I bought my first case this past Hopslam release. Next was a case of SN Sierra Nevada Summerfest for the garage fridge from Costco and I will buy Celebration from Costco again. Can't go wrong for $24.99.

 

I've purchased cases of BCBS, Zombie Dust, Hopslam, Shorts Peaches and Cream, and Shorts Strawberry Shorts Cake. The latter two mainly for trading partners, although Shorts Cake is one of my favorite Shorts beers.

 

I buy everything I can by the case. The prices are cheaper and cases afford me the ability to do all the things I enjoy about beer. Drinking some fresh, laying some down in the cellar, giving to/sharing with friends and regular trading partners, and using some to get beer I'd otherwise not have the opportunity to enjoy. I've bought so many cases in the last year it's crazy. KBS, Heady Topper, Nugget Nectar, Backwoods Bastard, Worldwide Stout, Sucaba, 75 Minute IPA, Marshal Zhukov (twice), Insanity, Bourbon County, Aprihop, Flower Power, Double Jack, Zombie Dust, Gumballhead, Arctic Panzer Wolf, Dreadnaught, Live a Rich Life, New Glarus Cranbic & Apple Ale, Central Waters Peruvian Morning and Bourbon Barrel Barleywine, J.W. Lee's Harvest Ale Sherry and Calvados barrled... I'm sure there are more, but I don't recall them all.
