Professional asshole if you ask the people who report to me. If you ask the people I report to... they'd say the same. Yet somehow the two end up being different. Just hoping I can be right enough times to keep them both realizing I have value. Sound familiar?

I drink awful Chinese lager...no, not really. There are a lot of decent German imports here (dunkel, Schwarz, pils, stark, hefe, etc.). Also, I live in Changchun in the Northeast which is China's "Motor City" and there are several German expats here working in the German car industry. Lucky for me, a couple of entrepreneurial Germans started a brewery here so I can have fresh beer whenever I want. That's about it!

Craft Beer Sales Rep. in the Midwest. (no, not the "craft" guys that try to hide their AB/Miller shirt) There isn't a work day where I don't drink a couple beers while working, I take a few for the team to help you guys!

Hey that's relatively close to one of the towns I was in. Dalian. Had no reason to go there other than that my brother worked there

Head doorman at a busy bar in Saratoga NY. If it happens in a bar...I've seen it. The job is at times mind numbingly boring, insanely stressful, and crazy fun. And there's beers at the end of every shift.

I don't! Washington Heights/Inwood, which is largely unexplored by conventional NYC standards. I work at a recently re-opened restaurant in Fort Tryon park called New Leaf. I often imagine an elaborate ten course menu intricately paired with the greatest beers distribution will allow, but we need a lot of work to get there (best beer the owners will put on draft is Guinness for now). Ironically I've also worked under the most hated chef in the craft beer world right now, David Chang.

lol that is quite ironic, hey i'm sure he's a decent chef and its pretty cool that you got to work under him. Despite his short sightedness on this particular issue. i hope you get to achieve that someday soon.

Dalian is nicer than here! Beijing and Shanghai are starting to get a few microbreweries brewing American style IPAs and pale ales, with the help from some Western expats. Hong Kong is the place to be for much better beer. The beer scene on mainland China is still based on warm Snow beer, overall.

I'm a health insurance claims analyst. BTW liver transplants are really expensive and quite painful from what I've heard. The Surgeon General recommends 1 drink a day for women and 2 drinks a day for men. Cheers!

I'm an applied mathematician at a think tank, where I do research on climate change policy or any sort of issue with deep uncertainty involved. Most of my work is related to managing flood risk, with a lot of it for the state of Louisiana, but I also do stuff about water scarcity, renewable energy systems, and things like that.

I'll be starting a new job in the fall as a professor, with a joint appointment between industrial engineering and political science. Should be a fun combination!

I am a pre-clinical scientist, hopefully working on some of the greatest next generation drugs and medical devices. While the hours are crazy and the pay isn't nearly enough, I love science for the sake of discovering new solutions to the unstoppable problem, death.
