I am going to try and cook with them after reading old threads no too long ago.
Won't let me edit last post. Sites running real slow lately.

Share with friends, they may like it/want it more
Drink when you're too intoxicated to truly appreciate great beer

I won't buy more than one unless I know I like it.

Right down the sink. Life too short to waste my brain cells and liver on beer I don't like. I move on to next one.

I keep it for guests, unless it's truly undrinkable. Hoppy stuff doesn't last long enough in my fridge (unless I somehow purchased it after the hops fell off), so that's not a problem. We have beer that's in the fridge, and then we have an on-deck area in a corner of the dinner room. We have a good sense of when that reserve supply gets too big or small, and purchase/abstain accordingly.

Maybe I'm an alcoholic but if I bought it, you better believe I'm going to drink it no matter how shitty it is.

If my distain is tolerable I actually drink them first so they won't be in the fridge. If I find them worth a "drain-pour" then I bring them to work and put them in the shop fridge for the boys. It's funny how much better they taste after a long day of physical labor.

I usually save them for the end of the night, when I'm already kinda buzzed and I don't want to drink anything "good." Let's face it, if you post on this site, how bad can it really be?

Place whole chicken cut up, canned tomatoes, spices, onions, celery, carrots in crock pot. Pour over undesirable beers and cook for 10 hours. You'll be glad you didn't waste the beer, and it'll be amazing!

Yup, it's nice having a good nightcap that you don't care about. Or I just give out to friends if they come over and haven't tried it, if it's a big concern about IPA freshness you can always give them a disclaimer.

I'd be willing to bet for a lot of us the thrill of the hunt is a big part of the fun and hence why we can have some beers lying around from time to time...

I would rather buy singles of beers I haven't tried yet but sometimes that is just not possible and when you start to do a lot of it, it can get pricey and stops making sense economically (at least in my area). I am now finding that I have tried a huge chunk of what the stores around me that sell singles offer so I end up with one or two beers I have never had before and four-five beers that are favorites...after a while that tends to stop making sense.

Okay back on point, I hate wasting anything so I usually give the stragglers to friends, save them for guests or see what the beer tastes like after a while; unlike some others, I generally don't mind if an IPA ages a bit and sometimes even find the maltier version of its former self pretty darn good in its own right.

Sounds like me and some of the highest rated beers on this site I didn't care for at all or I did like it but just didn't find it to be too special.

I'll take them off your hands for you. Especially the Heady and Sculpin. Also, might as well throw in two bottles of Sucks while you're at it.

As for what I do, I generally buy more responsibly and don't end up with a whole lot of "must drink fresh" beers in the fridge at once. Like one six pack at a time. They're usually something that I like to grab after a long day at work, so having six on hand isn't a problem. I used to drink stouts and other cellarable styles all day long, but I can't do that any more, so those I usually drink what I want to and throw the rest in the cellar. Like Blackout Stout, Narwhal, and BCBS. Got a four pack of each, enjoyed them all, now I'm not going to be in the mood for another for like a year or something.
