Make a shandy. I add cherry juice.

BBQ or it stays in my fridge until I forget it exists. Then when rediscovered it's so far out of date it doesn't seem fair to the brewer to drink, or so I tell myself.

Mostly choke it down. I've only ever dumped a few beers.

I give them away. I'm in a couple different sports leagues (tennis, softball) and I'll bring a cooler of beer and get rid of anything i personally don't want. Also, any sort of get together at my house or cookout's at someone else's house, I'll try to get rid of beer.

I will throw out beer eventually Though, I'm obtaining a second refrigerator from friends who are divorcing and moving and I'll have that downstairs for beer, so throwing out will probably take longer now.

Buy singles whenever and wherever possible. If I can't find singles, or if the bottle shop won't allow customers to break down a 4/6pk, then I just don't buy it. Plain, simple and no wasting of beer if it turns out to be a dud.

Never buy a six-pack from a beer I never tasted before... one bottle... or else, I'll wait.

There's enough stores around me selling singles to make this the best plan. Sometimes I'll get a 12 pack sampler if there's one or two in it that I know I'll like, and if there's a couple I don't I'll cook with them. Beer batter sunfish is not fussy, and overly roasty stouts and black ales go very well in a pot of chili. A can or bottle of mediocre pale makes a nice substitution for wine in the crockpot with a potroast. Or, if it's really wretched, set it out in a shallow bowl in the garden to kill slugs.

Funny enough this just happened to me last week ....I usually drink the rest very quickly and will not purchase the bee again.

I've made a couple of homebrew batches that weren't exactly favorable. But they are still my babies and I love them/drink them all equally.

I usually don't buy sixers of anything I haven't completely "vetted" through ticking as a product I'd like to commit to in robust fashion, but I did recently buy a mixed 12 pack from Short's when I was in Michigan that contains beer that I am not a fan of. One or two are decent efforts, just not my style so I can see those as extras. The pale won't last long enough to be a worthwhile extra, so it's going to my chili / marinade beer stash.

If I am not going to drink it, then I usually make beer brats with them.

Drink them. Or Put them in the front of my fridge for guests. Most of my friends won't know anyway.

If it's a bomber or 750 I'll finish it. For a 6-pack I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and try it again at a later date. Also, I may try and pair it with food, either a snack or dinner. Will also give the rest to a craft drinking companion if he enjoys it more that I do.

I don't buy six packs for this reason. Even if I like a beer, I usually don't want 6 of them.

I hate oniony IPA's. It's gotten to the point where before buying I ask whether a particular IPA has an onion flavor...which doesn't help, since most people have no idea what I'm talking about.

if it's a six pack of 12 oz bottles, i typically share them with friends who may enjoy them more than i do with the warning that i didn't care for it. if it's a bomber, i attempt to trade it for something i would like more unless it is obviously flawed and that is the reason i didn't like it. if it's flawed, well, haven't yet come across a case where i had more than one bottle of an obviously flawed beer, will have to figure that one out when it happens.

    We call that "guest beer".

I give them one and a macanudo.
