    You could distill it.

I read somewhere folks are distilling craft beer.

Could distill craft beer, age that whiskey in a barrel, then age some stout in a craft beer/whiskey barrel.

Yes that has crossed my mind. Although I also keep soft drinks in there as well. All stuff I don't drink, but would want to be able offer cold to a guest. Though no guest has yet to accept my offer of an ice cold chocolate bock.

I learned an important lesson just a few years ago when my adult children, four in total, came home and visited during the holidays. Knowing where dear, old dad’s beer fridge was located these kids proceeded to drink all my well earned craft - it was like a biblical plague of locusts ravaged my beer fridge. A tough lesson learned.

Now I simply keep a small stash of the stuff I didn’t like or was gifted to me, which is less than stellar. Prior to their arrival I am damned sure to move all those to front and center.

Give it to the guys over on the chugging thread. It's one thing to chug a high alcohol beer, but can you chug an 8 month old spiced pumkin beer that no one wants?

My best answer to this would be to host or attend a bottle swap...

Nicely done. My take: life is too short to drink beers you don’t like. Especially with all the variety out there. I feel bad dumping, mainly because someone somewhere took the time to brew it, but it’s best to not think about that. Cook with it, give it away, try it again, and if it’s still hanging around, dump it.

A second fridge with an external lock is what you need to keep them chirrun in line!

I like to use unwanted beer as part of my brine recipe for pork i.e. chops, ribs and even when brining poultry like turkey for Thanksgiving. I’ve incorporated beer, cider and flavored malt beverages along with the spices and salt in my brine recipe.

Distill it. Beer Shnapps is awesome. Same with any other fermented beverage you have a surplus of. If you have enough, distill it and sell it. Illegal, but a lot of fun, and you only live once, right?

I save them for when friends/family visit (less picky than me) or use it when making chili

It’s the craft beer drinker’s paradox. Loves beer too much to drink shitty beer. Also loves beer too much to ever pour one down the drain.

Blend them. Dilution is the solution for getting polluted (or something like that).

Though not necessarily shitty beer. Just stuff that does not appeal to me. If I was somewhere and my only choices were Schlitz and some sort of chocolate-raspberry beer from a highly-regarded craft brewery, I'd go with the Schlitz, no doubt about it.

I tried making ice cream out of Founder's Frootwood because I think that beer is terrible but I thought it might work as an ice cream base. I was wrong. It didn't come close to the flavor one gets with a nice stout ice cream. And so I haven't found a good use for bad beer, especially if it's strongly flavored.

I bring unwanted beers to the golf course when I play and leave them around various tee boxes as I go. If someone else wants to have them, I've made their day. Hey, free beer!
