Recycle them so I can get my deposit back.

Holy hell. That is quite impressive. Are they all unique (as in no doubles)? And do you have any rules you follow for collecting them? For my collection, in order for me to add a bottle to my collection i had to have drank it (i.e. if someone offers me an empty bottle to add to my collection i won't take it). Also i dont do doubles, all are different beers (i also dont keep up with new artwork when a brewery changes their labels). And do you have that thing catalogued haha

They are worth a thick nickel here in NY
But I do save the killer ones...
I kinda think they should be worth a dime at least at the recycle centers

Sounds like it's time to take the ole' mail truck over to Michigan.

Haha, actually I meant the 10 cent deposit. I'm from Michigan too, and it's really a good extra incentive to recycle when it's worth your while.

We're getting sophisticated with having good scanners in the recycling machines, so Kramer and Neuman wouldn't stand much of a chance if they could make it here in that mail truck nowadays.

No doubles other than a couple of beers with graphics changes on the label (before I realized that was stupid). However, there are multiple beers from many of the breweries that are represented (i.e. 52 different bottles from Short's).

My accumulation rule is that I must be the one to drink the beer (there are 5-6 that are still full that are worthless beers but collectible bottles like the three of the Three Stooges (each cap has a different Stooge) and some very outdated bottles that came to me as full), otherwise they are all empty. My catalog is simply my spreadsheet list. Unfortunately I never cataloged the position of the bottles so that when I want to look at a certain label for any reason I have to search until it's found, although I do have breweries grouped. Happily, I don't search very often.

Having run out of display space long ago, I am trying (with some success) to limit myself to adding only new bottles from Michigan breweries only, especially if it is a brewery that has just started bottling.

Those that have pry-off caps I may save as extras for homebrew (of which I have enough saved up for up to six 5-gallon batchs at this moment). Some I save to add to my bottle collection if they look neat. The rest I throw away or recycle.
