I drink cold junmai daiginjo with sushi, but I stick to traditional edo style sushi, no spicy tuna rolls for me. Nothing against it, just not my thing.

Once I had Dogfish Pangea with Sushi. This was years ago and I still think it's one of the best pairings I've ever had!

I like the session, pils light summery beers; otherwise it overwhelms the sushi

If you are are true sushi aficionado you drink Sapporo which is a Japanese rice based brew. If you like to experiment you might stick to dry brews but hey the sky is the limit. Actually with sushi I prefer a hot saki with a beer chaser.

Pangea. Is that a type of seaweed? That would be good with sushi as it would be a seaweed salad type compliment.

Something to consider, are we talking traditional sushi or some sort of "roll?" You know, something named after a celebrity or local sports team, covered in tempura crumbs and doused in some sort of disgusting mayo sauce. Individual preparation is something that needs to be considered when beverage pairing.

All I had last night was some Habanero Sculpin, and it went surprisingly well with a Spicy tuna roll.

Gose! Off Color's Troublesome was perhaps better with sushi than alone.
