It depends i guess...in the winter time i tend to crave the piney hops more and in the summer more the citrus hops...but overall id say i prefer the citrus taste not by much though

I like both, whether there's a balance between the two or not.

Are those really the only types? I'm not a hophead by any stretch but I just assumed that IPAs generally had more nuance than just grapefruit juice and pine needles.

I like both pine and citrus flavor hops. It depends on the mood I'm in.

No, there are dozens of different varieties of hops and they all produce different types of flavors. Wikipedia has a decent list of the varieties. Link...

I chose citrus and piney because they are rather common flavors in Pale Ales and IPA.

Depends on the citrus. If it's bitter grapefruit rind citrus then no! If it's sweet lemony/orange citrus then YES! I guess I'm more into the "fruity" hops and earthy/dank hops... Schlafly TIPA and Lagunitas Lil Sumpin for the win!

Piney chinook and the skunky/pungent/dank sour grapefruit of Simcoe seem to be my long-standing favorites, and I can't see that changing anytime soon.

Give me a nice 80/20 balance of citrus to pine. I like a little pine but not Torpedo-levels of pine.

I don't care so long as the malts don't get in the way.
