What does freezing during lagering do?

So I have an old fridge I was using to lager my beer, I started last night, I was just hoping it was going to be cold enough to lager, so I didn't bother setting up a temp control. I just set it to max, and walked away. Poor choice. I got home late today, and the bottles are frozen solid (luckily nothing burst as far as I can tell). So what effect will this have on the final product?

As long as you de-thaw them properly in a fridge for a couple of days, and none of the carbonation has escaped through the cap, they should be fine.

I think you'll have tasty beer. Be careful prying the lids off, as the glass may have weakened.

Here is a picture of my frozen Pilsner. No harm to the keg when thawed and the beer was excellent!

That's good to hear, i would hate to think I ruined a pretty much finished batch with one poor choice.
