I traded a 2011 Brandy Dark Lord for one (assuming you're referring to the 32 oz. growlers released a few weeks ago). I've seen it trade for more, and I've seen it trade for less. Not sure how many growlers are still hanging around at this point.

Make it do 100 crunches a day.

I traded a FFF Battle Priest for a 32oz growler.

Bottle probably takes 2 puppies or 1 puppy plus KH.

Were those growlers counter pressure filled?

Doesn't even matter. My growler arrived warm, leaked a little, and was consumed about 6 days later. It was still disgustingly good.

Define "big"...I still need to convince myself I passed one up for good reason. Decided to go with 2 fresh reg '12s instead.

High abv. Thick. The beer equivalent of melted fudge and smores being smashed into your food hole.

You know man, honestly, there's such a dearth of good beers in the FL area, that a decent combo of accessible common BA wants (considering KH, CBS, BCBS, etc.) ought to pull off a growler for you. Now, a 2010 bottle, on the other hand...

Agreed. AB Huna was off the chain. I only wish I could dab some on my neck every time right before I head out to the clubs, haha.

Well, the first time I tried it was a small pour at this years DLD. I heard it doesn't age quite well and I loved the chile aspect of the brew. I would not consider 11.5% high ABV...hopefully I will get the opportunity to try the AB version someday.

    :grimacing:

    How is 11.5% not high?

My friends and I recently traded the following for a 32oz growler of AB Huna:
    BCBVS
    Bramble
    BCBS
    BBpt5
    KBS '10

No leakage during shipping and despite the fact that it was over two weeks old by the time we opened it, there was an audible hiss when popping the swing top, and the carbonation was perfect.

We cracked it last night next to a regular Huna ('11). Amazing how this beer stands up to the barrel treatment; standing alone it is as thick and chocolaty as a cup of cocoa with a touch of heat. Both elements come through in the AB version but are muted just enough for the sweetness to come through. Also on first impression regular Huna could almost pass for a non-alcoholic beverage but you would never make that mistake after it comes out of the barrel.

It was those stouts in particular, minus the BT, that got me hooked on the craft beer scene years ago. Spoiled, I suppose...

I gave up an Alpine Great and x2 Beat B5 for an AB Huna Growler...it was to one of my regular trading partners though so I wasn't even trippin...

    Cheers!

Im skeptical as to whether DL is even that much over 10% anymore. There are so few beers in the range of WWS and BT, those are just extreme. Anything over 8% is high to me. Depending on my mood, 7% may even be too high.
