What does it take to land Brute

Brute is more limited than anything on your list, but maybe with the right trader you might be able to get it done for a DL.

 

I have a couple Brutes and wouldn't make any of those trades. Someone might for a DL but I think it's a reach.

 

DL 12 + ZD maybe?

 

DL might do it but since Brute isnt coming out this year, it might be harder to get than it was in years past.

 

I personally would need something tougher to get than DL as the centerpiece of the deal.

 

Already drank my brute, which was fantastic. If I had another, it would be unlikely that I'd trade for any combo on that list. Not only was it pretty limited, not made this year, etc. as mentioned, but it is a phenomenal beer. Good luck finding one, it'll be worth it.

 

Last I heard there was a question mark about Brute being made again - is that still accurate? The Ithaca brewer who did the wild stuff is gone, and it's not the kind of beer that just anyone can pick up and do correctly.

Point being, I think it's going to be a very tough score nowadays.

There was a lot of discussion about this in the line at the LeBleu release. There were 2 rumors stemming from the brewers departure 9months ago:
1) No more sours period.
2) The next batch of LeBleu is in barrels and will be sold. No mention of Brute.

I think BA Schulzy1 works for Ithaca so perhaps he knows more? Seems like pretty much everything is on hold while they move the brewery this summer.

Despite going to the LeBleu release I still haven't landed a bottle of Brute and would love to.

 

I got one in a package with some Cantillon mid-level stuff and another along with a LeBleu for DL '12 and Beat b5.

DL may get it done. The others OP listed, probably not.

 

I swapped mine for a Beat right around the Batch 5 release.

 

Ive got a brute 2 and nothing listed so far would snatch it from me. Just my .02

 

Traded 10, 11, and 12 kbs for a brute a few months ago.

 

Is it Brute or LeBleu that has somewhat of a history of exploding in transit? (Hopefully neither, and I'm an idiot).

LeBleu batch #1 was highly carbonated.

 

Did a package that included 2xAftW for a '10 Brute/Fou' Foune recently. Would gladly do that again (or something along those lines) if anyone is interested.
