I want some of this, and I want to know what it will take, or what you think fair trades might be

Why didn't he just buy 6 bottles of maple syrup instead? That would've saved him so much more time and money.

Had one in September. It's a great beer, but KBS is equally tasty, if not better, and easier to obtain.

I traded away my CBS months ago because I had thought it had fallen off. I think I know who totoropanda is talking about, and I'm surprised he only had 6 bottles!

The maple and coffee characters have definitely faded away, so it won't be at its peak but its still a great beer. If your buddy really drain poured 6 bottles of CBS then he needs to be beaten. Anyone that doesn't want their "old" CBS please send to me and the OP.

I agree. I was going to suggest to the OP to wait until another release, as it is not the same beer as it once was. But, if the OP likes where it is now, I guess that's his thing.

My guess is something far superior to CBS.

It's probably because you didn't personally drink them, and also, you're saying your friend drain poured 6 bottles of CBS..... If a stout starts to have the maple, coffee, chocolate, or whatever fade, it's usually enjoyable despite the fact that certain flavor profiles aren't there..... "Drain pour" signifies that your friend was A) Unable to drink the contents because he found them so offensive, and B) Isn't smart enough to stop after 1 or 2 bottles, and continued to open bottles that he could have easily traded for something he wanted, or given away to friends.

I just had some CBS yet again about 2-3 weeks ago, and I think it's fantastic. Also, I don't think the maple is gone like some are claiming. It's because of people like this that we get BCBVS which is a vanilla-mess and needs to calm down...... a little flavor goes a long way.....
