What does the expression "dankness" mean to you?

    Unfortunately, it's very common out here in the PNW. The beer that prompted my OP (Sir Dank a Lot WCIPA from Reuben's brewing) is just one of many examples. Also, dankness is a term/expression I see tossed around a lot out this way (especially with WCIPA's). It gets me every time (Me: "Hmmmm.... I like dank IPA's, and this beer is described as having a lot of dank characteristics. It's also from a brewer I know and like. So sounds like this IPA should be right up my alley.")

    For me "dank" with beer is predominantly when discussing a good Lambic with some age on it.

    Wyeast 3278 - has Brettanomyces in it.

    Creates a sour Belgian beer that is often described as dank, horse blanket etc in flavor at certain times.
